Tried to find someone to play the part, never knew just how or where to start.

Tried the things they all said he should, he would surely find one if he would.
Then one day, it was the month of May.
They both ended up at the Chick-fil-a,
Waiting patiently for their chance to pay.
Surely fate was gonna smile on them.

Could this be it? Fate had stepped right in and let them there.
There they were, breathing the same air. Could this be their moment, that seemed fair.
There they stood, so close, but yet so very far away.
Something caught their eye the other way. Turns out that the both of them were gay.
Just like that, in a flash of light,
They both thought, this does not seem right.
Giving them my money, just to help them fight
Everything that makes me who I am.

And so they walked. This is not the place that’s earned my trade.
Thinking ‘bout the price already paid. Even though it is good lemonade.
They walked away, never went back. It’s bad enough living under attack.
When you support ‘em, well, that’s just whack.

Openminded (Reimagined)

Tessa Sitjes is only in her second year of her mechanical engineering degree, but she's already witnessing the gender imbalance in STEM courses.  Currently only 14 per cent of engineers in the Australian workforce are female, with women making up just 37 per cent of enrolments in university STEM courses. 
Sitjes talks to Newsworthy’s Olive Wilson about her experiences as part of the Sunswift solar car racing team, the importance of diversity in engineering and what actions she can see taking place to address the gender imbalance.
