Mustache Girl takes on a hybrid Asgore and Asriel role. Years ago, she took Hat Kid's Time Pieces and set into motion a chain of events that would drastically change the world as everyone knew it, and put it firmly in her hands to rule. She thought this would be the best way to serve "proper" justice back then, but now? She's just tired. Mu's *been* done with this for quite some time, and she feels deeply trapped. Trapped by the people she already turned against her years ago, by her (in hindsight) rather bullheaded quest that's lost all its appeal of pursuing, by the all-encompassing kingdom she never realized she didn't want... and by an unending feeling of loneliness and sadness. The spark that started this mess is long gone (and that's putting it lightly,) but Mu sure as hell isn't going to actually say it, let alone give up without a fight. Cause the one thing that never *truly* went away was Mu's stubborness/committment, no matter how much it tears her apart inside.

Hat Kid is in the role of Sans. The whole dinner scene thing earlier on in the AU is still chill n all, but after Bow's final encounter with Conductor, Hattie can't help but feel bad for not giving her the full truth about things as they currently stood (and has been wracked with publically-repressed guilt over the state of the world for years now.) So in another twist, *Hat Kid* is actually the one that largely gives the whole backstory monologue thing to Bow. Though some of the NPCs on the sidelines *do* still chime in ever so often with their own comments about how much Mustache Girl sucks... much to Hat Kid's discomfort.

Still not the actual track I commissioned from Kristian, but I figured "hey, while I have the ACTUAL Memory replacement now, and since I think the old version sucked ass, let's redo the Track 71 replacement too!" Definitely more "minor" sounding than the old one, and nowhere near as chipper in tone, but I think this fits a bit better now.
Did still reuse a fair few aspects from the V1, namely a lot of the instrumentation and general progression, but everything was pitched down/adjusted as needed to match the new Memory replacement (https://soundcloud.com/ahit-times-end-ost/reflections-past.) Wound up replacing and swapping in other motifs in certain cases, even though one of them is likely blended in a bit *too* well in this final mix lmao. This track probably more *directly* reveals the influence behind the actual commissioned track -- the His Theme for the AU (ik shocker to end all shockers) -- and thus, what this and the Memory were built from. ;)
Anyhow tho, enough of my inane rambling, hope y'all enjoy! :) --Ashley

I made the character after making the song, so he's not very fleshed out, honestly. Still happy with how he looks though! He's meant to be a little desktop helper, something like Bonzi Buddy - specifically for antivirus software. Malware, rather. Something of a trojan, he is.
