10 years of love on the dance floor!

High Hoops presents a compilation of electronic tracks from artists across the globe to celebrate 10 years of ‘love on the dance floor’ and to raise funds for three amazing charities.

Proceeds from this compilation will be shared with the LGBT Foundation, Mermaids and Meningitis now, in memory of our friends Ash, Alex T and Willow.

A huge thank you to all of our friends and artists that have contributed their time and energy in supporting the creation of this incredible album of music.

The LGBT Foundation is a national charity with LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. They celebrate and empower LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities to realise their full potential, every day.

Mermaids is a charity that supports trans, non-binary and gender-diverse children, young people and their families since 1995.

Meningitis Now is a UK charity dedicated to fighting meningitis through support, awareness, and research.

I have finally made an ambient mix!!
something that I wanted to do for such a long time as although I love all kinds of music, my head really needed a break. Making this mix was really great to step back, get out of my head and give myself a confidence boost, to remind myself that I am capable and that I am good at what I do. I have so much to feel, see and say!! 
when I was making my last mix I stumbled upon a wholesome photo of mum and I at my grandmas in Virginia circa 2004/05. Not only is it super cute but it made me remember that I don’t have to rush around at 937380 billion miles an hour to try and rush to put something out! Mum has had such a large influence on me musically from such a young age and so I wanted her violin to be the first thing that you hear when you listen! This is also the first time that a mix has featured any production of my own!! 
even though I’m nervous to share Its something that I’ve worked so hard on and I’m really happy and proud of it! 
I wanted the mix to start really minimal with some experimenting and elements from other genres…building into big watery moments that wash over you, ending with one of my all time favourite songs! 😁

This project wouldn’t be anything that it is with out Kaylí’s incredible art!! 
Kaylí and I met at the start of this year and have since become fast friends!! To have them design the cover with their ridiculously awesome talents with such enthusiasm whilst being away in Europe means the world to me I could literally go on forever and I am so freaking incredibly grateful!! 🫶🫶🫶🫶
extra special shoutout to Luke for help recording the violin parts and for letting me bug them with a million questions

Texture, percussion, and low end pressure are the only constants for No Harm (@noharmsound)  & Gristle (@griiistle). They emerged as a b2b duo by way of collaborating on Tāmaki Makaurau's ANTIDAWN nights. Since then, the persistent reimagination of their sets have made dancefloors motu-wide subject to the unpredictable and diffracted nature of contemporary bass music.

At the fringes of past playlists, they found capsules of tracks left behind but not abandoned. This mix brings forward some of these stragglers, threading seemingly dissimilar pieces together into a contextual reimagining.
