The Allergies have developed a reputation for producing dancefloor assaulting 45's that regularly sell out and this release is no different as You Wouldn't Know fuses upbeat soul jams with their trademark energetic breaks driving underneath the catchiest of vocal hooks.

'I just want to get funky for you today' is the opening statement on Special People and that's exactly what they do as this B-side keeps the party going. Supplied with copious amounts of percussion breaks, jazz flute and a sweet bassline in a groove that could make even a statue dance, there is more funk packed into this track than an out of date stilton.

All killer and no filler all the way through on this 7inch so probably best you do yourself and your record collection a favour and sort one out.

Way back in 2001, this featured on my second ever vinyl release, and until 2012 was only available on a long-out-of-print 12".

But, we live in more enlightened times, and, having made it available digitally a few years back, the fine folks at @Jalapeno-Records are now putting it on limited 7" vinyl for those that like their cut 'n' paste disco breaks in an easier to handle package. 
There's a brand new 45-friendly edit of the original on the A-side, backed by the full width of my 'Breaks Of Wrath Re-Edit' from the original EP, where I got a bit sample happy on a hot summer's afternoon back at the turn of the century.

Dr Rubberfunk - 'Disco Scene' (7" Edit)

The standout track from Aldo Vanucci’s Love is Loops EP is back with some killer remixes.

Not one but two D&B mixes to choose from with V Recording’s Dr Meaker first up to the plate with a funked up jazzy D&B mix that shows why his recent productions have been getting so much airplay.

London bass crew Futurizm offer a tougher tech-step version for the heavier sets but both mixes are set to blow up the dance.

Straight out of Antwerp - Belgium’s D’Steph comes correct with a retro warehouse mix that oozes class and Smoove drops a funky Breakbeat mix for his legion of jazzhead followers.

Kylie Auldist is the singer with one of the world’s most in demand Funk & Soul bands (The Bamboos) as well as being a solo artist in her own right on the highly respected Tru Thoughts label. Between her and Aldo Vanucci – the 14th Best DJ in Plymouth – they have crafted a modern classic.
