id wear sunglasses when i sing
man id play a really mean guitar
and roam New York like a big star
all the girls would drool over me
id walk and talk so peachy
everyone would think im the most
smoke cigarettes and wear leather boots
ive had a neat set of friends
fancy parties to attend
it would all be so grand 
thats why i wish i was
lou reed was such a groovy dude
everyone i know loves his tunes
i wish i was lou reed and you could be my nico
the best part of being lou reed is that you would be my nico for a while

id have vox guitars
id do lots of drugs
id write poetry and walk on the wild side
my band would be signed to verve
and id hang out with warhol
itd be so far out to be lou reed
