Played on a Tom Doerr (RIP) Legacy- LS Redwood/Cocobolo. 
This little tune gradually grew on me over some time period ahead of the final recording including little changes on the evening it was recorded. Sometimes that's the way things work!!
 Played in CGCGCD tuning capo #1. 
The melody seemed to convey to me a hopeful, thoughtful day ahead where good things might happen! 
The picture is of my son in law looking out over the harbor on a fabulous summer evening sunset!

pervasive peppermint aroma permeates
the cat's olfactory self as it passes
the ice-cream truck nestled next to
the bridge made of slowly flowing steel,

thermal tarmac and as red a coat of paint
as cinematic cone cells can fathom - elsewhere,
a heron's solitary silhouette complements selves
unabashedly spread across playground noise -

if humans had never touched down
on these waters, soils, the river would
have run another course - wind
might have shed its aeolean pride,
for arrival does not alleviate
the ringing shock of departure
