Blending heartfelt lyrics with big sing-along choruses the Moray based singer song-writer Danny Mortimer has been attracting attention throughout Scotland and beyond. 
Debut album "Out Of The Blue" was released in 2016 gaining him radio international air-play as well as live sessions with some of the biggest local radio stations in Scotland and praise from Clyde 1’s Ryan Borthwick and “The Godfather of Rock” Tom Russell.
 
The tracks “Waiting”, “Jackson”, “Go, On” and (fan favourite) “Stay With Me” have all reached various places in the Scottish New Music Charts, and also garnered interest from the New York based Record Label “Factory Fast Records”, to release two separate compilations CD’s featuring Danny’s music.
However, it is in the live setting that Danny thrives , whether that be playing solo or with his band of accomplished musicians. Main stage festival appearances at the likes of NXNE and Speyfest have beckoned, although the highlight so far has been playing the Glasgow O2 ABC in January.
2018 has already seen big announcements to be made. The album “Anything But Silent” was released in April 2018, spawning the singles “The Best In Everything” and “Anything But Silent” which both received worldwide radio airplay, with the latter being also featured on Jim Gellatly’s “Amazing Radio”.
With huge gigs already confirmed for this year, including a slot to play at this year’s “Belladrum”, Danny is keeping himself busy by constantly writing and recording, hoping to bring his music to a wider audience.
