"Ruby Two Shoes" is a Bristol based vintage jazz and swing band made up of some of Bristol's finest musicians. We specialise in a vintage style playing classic songs from the 30's and 40's with a few vintage-pop arrangements thrown into the mix!

Tara Baggins, Ella Polczyk-Przybyla and Ryan Walker of Bristol's favourite party band "The Rin Tins" have collaborated and collected a number of chilled and cheeky tunes to entertain the more subdued audiences of Bristol's acoustic music scene. We can also expect spicy new originals in the vain of detective-jazz and country-folk to be thrown into the mix.

That’s the ethos that The Rin Tins have kept since their inception in early 2011 and since then the quintet have dedicated themselves to bringing folk fueled jazz jive boogie to the Bristol scene. 
They’ve been called the ‘definable Bristolian party band’ by South West music legend Cozzie O’Cozfunkel, were 'the people's choice'  at Shambala 2014 and described as ‘splendid gypsy rockabilly’ by The Zen Hussies own Jules Landau. 
With music that combines dark folk tales with swing jazz rhythms and pounding oompa beats, for the past year The Rin Tins have been filling dance floors across Bristol. 
Their debut album ‘Tales of Pride & Shame is available on Itunes, Amazon and Spotify and the follow-up, 'One More Roll of the Dice' was released in October, 2014. 





Since 2002 Smerins Anti-Social Club have established themselves as one of the hottest underground acts Britain has to offer. While they’ve recently made ripples on the radio with a release on Tru Thoughts (the band’s dub rendition of the Doctor Who theme) and a track specially commissioned by 6 Music, it’s their enviable reputation as a live act that has long been winning this 8-piece band appearances at the country’s top festivals.

Formed when a group of friends decided to put together a band as an antidote to a somewhat stale music scene in their former hometown of Southampton, Smerins Anti-Social Club quickly forged their own direction by mashing together a diverse range of influences. Elements of funk, 1930s swing, drum'n'bass, ska and alt-rock are fused together with a punk-rock energy and delivered with real musicianship.


Julia is a singer-songwriter / topline writer based in Wiltshire, UK

Musician from Sydney, Australia, now based in Bristol, UK. 
Studied at the Conservatorium of Music, Sydney, graduating with an Honours degree in Music Education.
Plays a number of instruments and dabbles in music production. Principal instrument is the piano which she has been playing for 20 years. Other instruments include the guitar, flute, bit of sax, violin and the tin whistle. 
Is a lover of all styles of music, but personal favourites are jazz, electro-swing and trip-hop.
Currnently plays keys and guitar in a couple of bands, T R Clemmett and Makala Cheung, and is looking to form a new live electro-swing covers band. Also currently working on a trip-hop instrumental album.
