so here it is: our Turmbühnen set. It was something truly special for us to play there. We have been dancing and celebrating there for many many years in the past as guests, even when we started doing music together as umami.
Some of you asked why we didn’t sing live or played so few umami songs. Thats because it was a DJ set and not a live set! Besides, we wanted to play a little different than normally and combine our current style with the way the Turmbühne sounded back when we started to be there.
So a big thank you to everybody who was there and shared this moment with us!

PS There was a misunderstanding between us and the soundguy at the end of the set. We cut that part out because it is annoying to listen to :)

PS: Sowas wie die Mayday habe ich noch nie erlebt und so nervös war ich auch noch nie. Die ganzen großen DJs auf der Bühne, gerade zu einschüchternd :D Ist schon komisch wenn so viele Leute einen anschauen, ich habe ja schon Probleme wenn mich einer anschaut :/

I just tried to translate it bud had to find out that it looses it’s awesomeness when I do it :/

I try to explain in my own words. It is about a boy who can remember the first thing he can remember in his life at all. His mother gave him a sparkler for new years eve. Everyone was on the streets with fireworks and it was loud because of all the explosions. But he was not afraid. He was just a part of this. He hold up his little sparkler and shake it like crazy. So intense as he possibly could or even stronger. And he was so small and the sparkler too. But he experienced the biggest and best there is on earth. He experienced the biggest and most beautiful on earth and he was a part of it. He never did anything in his life again that was so gigantic. 

I choose this vocal because I love the guy! His name isI was Frank Giering. He had such a special sad way of being which I could connect with easily. He is unfortunately dead. He died way to young. 

Here is an interview of him. He is saying interesting things there. It’s german but you can get an idea of the person.
