We wanted to build the concept of this mini compilation around the 'kitchen', as it is very often regarded as the 'soul' of the house where a large portion of daily activities take place. Whether it's preparing food, grabbing a quick snack from the fridge, or simply having a coffee with a mate over an extended countertop, its function does seep quite deeply into how we live. So for this holiday season (if you are having one), we thought it's rather appropriate to curate and share with you a collection of music from our artists and affiliates - A compilation that would hopefully provide and enhance the environment for those who might be preparing that festive feed for loved ones and friends. 

After all, music is that one true universal language which injects positivity and good energy.

Giorgio Oehlers - First Light

This album falls under R&B, Hip Hop, Pop Rap, and Trap Soul, while also fitting into Contemporary R&B and Alternative Hip Hop spaces. The production and mood make it easy to tag with Soulful, Emotional, Uplifting, and Cinematic, while the instrumentation and vibe call for 808 Bass, Trap, Jazz Influences, and Vocal-Driven. Altogether, it positions the project alongside modern R&B/hip hop crossovers and motivational anthems that thrive on streaming playlists.

Influenced by the likes of D'Angelo, Kaytranada, and Prince, MXXWLL is a Sydney based producer/remixer, who is fast becoming one of Australia's brightest future funk prospects. Following the release of his first solo single this year, and appraisal from Snakehips, ESTA, M-Phases, and more, MXXWLL has since gone on to remix London based R&B/Soul rising star Jodie Abacus and also Rationale (to be released). Now he returns to put a fresh spin on Deutsch Duke's soulful single "Harder Without You".

The debut official release on the label from Rotterdam-based @giorgio-oehlers," 'EGO’ And The Art of Letting Go”, is a reflection on the tenuous relationship between ego, creativity, and crafting a truly personal vision through art. Raised on a diet of soul, jazz, funk, r&b and fusion, Giorgio Oehlers has been quietly honing his skill, and after struggling with the pervasiveness of external pressures on his artistic process for years, the Dutch producer learned that by truly letting go of these constraints - ego, industry hype, genre conventions - and creating music solely for himself, his most meaningful work was brought to fruition.

This sentiment is beautifully communicated throughout the EP. Throughout the four-track journey exploring the different corners of Giorgio’s vision through a range of grooves, tempos, and emotions, each tune oozes with an undeniably human touch and handmade feel. From the synth-led kaleidoscope on ‘Ego Groove, the emotive boogie that drives ‘Sun Cruiser’, to the low-slung vocoder jam ‘Strangers’, and the pure sunshine of ‘Egoista’, this EP is a testament to the magic that happens when an artist looks inward and imparts a piece of themselves into their creations.

I Got This is the inspiring new pop/R&B single by Danielle Bellas. The young UK singer/songwriter says “I Got This is about turning negative thoughts into positive ones.  There’s so much negativity in the world right now and it’s easy to get caught up in it. Music has always been a healer for me, so I’m hoping this song can remind people that there’s always something beautiful to focus on, something to be grateful for and a different way of looking at things, including ourselves.” The track is released after Mental Health Month and the music video features people opening up about their own negative thoughts and fears - showing that no -one needs to be alone in their pain.
