The art pop duo, rubyrough, combines American singer-songwriter Stephanie Forryan’s poetic and intimate style with the electronic artistry of German composer and sound designer Horst Niewierra. Together they create delicate, danceable, audible graffiti. The band’s music stirs images more fitting to an underground art gallery than a museum, their cinematic intensity, a colorful reflection of the modern age. The name, rubyrough, describes the contrasts inherent in their music: feminine and masculine, refined and raw, order and chaos.

Hello, I'm Michael Gabriel Pompetti, from Montreal, Canada. I've been playing and writing music for 20 years having played in bands including The Apps, Blind Eye Witness, Stock and Toxic Paint. I also contributed music soundtracks for amateur films and participated in charity events one time sharing the stage with quebec artist Ima. I also played in Dead Breakfast Society which no longer exists but is still here on Soundcloud for your listening pleasure. There is also some material on Youtube and Ourstage where I finished twice in the top 40 (ambient, indierock channels) and got 1st place in the punkrock category for the song Eyes, available on Ourstage and Youtube. I'm still waiting for my prize money...
