Originally from Washington, D.C., Recording artist, DcMarvl, has been honing his craft for over 10 years. A veteran of the United States Navy, during that time DcMarvl adopted the habits of a musical sponge by interacting with his various shipmates who were from all walks of life and immersing himself in their personal musical tastes. He employs this attribute to forge his own unique style that branches off into “sub-styles”. At times aggressive; at times pensive and reflective. He aims for his music to demonstrate the complete spectrum of a person (hopes, fears, ambitions, random musings, etc.) 

       A supporter of the notion of “Vigilante Rap” as opposed to “Gangsta Rap”.. Vigilante expresses a sense of individuality in an effort to administer his own brand of justice. He is an artist who realizes that there is indeed something wrong with the status quo. “Viral media has indeed become an infection”. Ideally he knows that, as one man, there is no way he can personally change the way things are, but he enters into the fray anyway. Combating a giant that has, historically, proven time and time again to be “unkillable”.. ignorance.
