Diamond Soul

I wrote this short work a while back and recently had the opportunity to re-record the solo cello part (I am the cellist and pianist in the recording)with a full string section for Clockwork Sessions in Glasgow. The work itself was written during lockdown with a view to expressing the brittle nature of our planet and society during that time. Not much seems to have changed...

I love monotony in my tracks sometimes... Almost like a drone, the piano maintains a pulsating rhythm driving this work forward and giving it a suspensful feel...

Another track Ive written with a mysterious chase theme blending into something more hopeful and perhaps easy going... (like they thought they had escaped!!!).. . before going back into the unpleasant reality of being pursued!!!!
