“Daevas”, meaning divinities of chaos and disorder in the Zoroastrian faith, is the combined effort of SARIN x SCARLIT PORT recorded in Berlin during the lockdown of 2020. 

The six track 30 minute EP is a winding journey that dives into both artists’ shared Persian heritage by referencing ancient pagan Gods, mysticism and the more recent tragic histories of colonialism, dictatorships, longing and a sense of being uprooted. 

These unwinding stories and artefacts are imprinted within a dark cascade of sounds incorporating and combining each artist’s influences to create a total work that encompasses elements of techno body music, acid, industrial and the subtle application of more traditional Persian musical forms.

French label Sharped Records has discovered a new artist with a great ability to design a style that rides between techno and EBM. This producer is called Nuel, this is his first release and his motto is not to follow the herd, but to explore the infinite possibilities that music offers you. Like the label itself, I think that more and more of us think that originality and enjoying what you do is the most important thing to have a healthy music scene, in which each musician or user can feel free to adopt their own criteria.

Uncultured is a title that can perfectly suggest this relationship that many believe exists between quality and success. Success is mostly subordinated to the standards demanded by the market, but it doesn't have to be a quality product, and this is something that happens very often nowadays, as marketing campaigns are the ones that define what the public should consume. 

This 6-track album features 4 original tracks and two covers by The Undertaker's Tapes and WhyAml. The album shows the skill of this artist to impose a hard character, with a strong punch, imposing bass lines and diverse influences from genres such as psytrance, from which he rescues the hypnotism and some textures that remind us of goa.

Premiere: Acostumbrado a los ritmos tribales e hipnóticos, el hechicero marroquí Prophän se adentra ahora en nuevos territorios con "Blood, Fear & Injustice".

En esta creación, patadas ruidosas, voces distorsionadas, sintetizadores ondulados y bajos doom allanan el camino para formar un conjunto ecléctico pero coherente.

Producida en un entorno que oprime a las minorías que no se ajustan a los estándares establecidos, «Blood, Fear & Injustice» es tanto una obra de arte como un acto militante. De ahí los diferentes títulos que todos se refieren al control del pueblo por parte de la clase dominante política y religiosa.

Para concluir este EP, pensamos que no había mejor manera que traer a la cartelera al activista del sonido griego ANFS. El director de Vanila Records nos ofrece su propia visión de «Silent And Under The Boot» de Prophän y podemos decir que el resultado es una auténtica demostración de fuerza, con su ritmo que sigue haciéndose más pesado a lo largo y su tensión palpable.

Premiere: Accustomed to tribal and hypnotic rhythms, the Moroccan sorcerer Prophän is now venturing into new territories with "Blood, Fear & Injustice". 

In this creation, noisy kicks, distorded vocals, wavy synths and doom basses pave the way to form an eclectic but coherent ensemble. 

Produced in an environment which oppresses minorities who do not conform to the established standards, « Blood, Fear & Injustice » is as much a work of art as a militant act. Hence the different titles which all refers to the control of the people by the political and religious ruling class. 

To conclude this EP, we thought that there was no better way than bringing the greek sound activist ANFS to the bill! The head of Vanila Records offers us his own vision of Prophän’s « Silent And Under The Boot » and we can say that the result is a real show of force, with its rhythm that continues to grow heavier all along and its palpable tension.
