For the 12th vinyl release Wicked Bass welcomes Galdoors co-owner Junes, who gives us the light again on his current music tastes through three rhythm driven, UK infected tracks made for the tight, sweaty dancefloor.

Or, at least, that's what Nate S.U and the rest of us think.

The second offering from our colourful crew who love to dress up and dance weird sees our head of A&R step into the spotlight for a two track EP with an absolutely otherworldly feel.

Commencing the journey is the aptly-named Far Away, whose warm, slow rising pads set the dream-like tone for a track that floats effortlessly between minimal and deep house. Piercing hi-hats set the tempo throughout with organic mallets working in harmony to tie the piece together.

Next it’s time for the titular track, Indigo. Grooved-out, rubbery, wooden percussion acts as a focal point for hi-hats to breath life into the high end, as reverb-heavy noise elements weave through the mix like smoke through your fingers. All this culminates to provide a platform for the hypnotising male vocal cut, a tale of parapsychology and supernatural abilities designed to raise the vibrations of the world... That’s right, Nate S.U is a thinker.

Forceful grooves and trippy soundscapes here – business as usual for Junes, whose latest EP adds to a string of releases getting bagged by those looking to work the floor with tight and atmospheric rhythms. The Galdoors man's flair for unexpected combos is on parade in Circuit Rift, where a UK-style low end is flung into the mix with rough drums and 4am melodics. There's a funkier bassline and rolling groove at work in Awake, this time with rich layers of pads and blips. Brass Hand uses a different palette – a sparkling, loopy riff and crisp drums – though it's still signature Junes.
