Samulnor.E is a word play of ‘samulnori’ and Electro. Samulnori is a traditional percussive genre from Korea made with gongs and drums.
This EP was inspired by the sounds of ‘garak’ and ‘samulnori’ from the 70’s and 80’s and focuses primarily on integrating dance culture into these sounds. 
It’s a 4 track EP by DJ co.kr and it includes Samulnor.E, TOM (feat. MoonSun), TOM (version) and TOM (feat. MoonSun) [STONES TARO REMIX].

Stones Taro is a DJ and Producer from Kyoto, Japan and the head of NC4K.
MoonSun is a singer from Seoul, Korea.

As we’ve all seen Tāmaki Makaurau has suffered massive devastation after the floods a few weeks ago with the good people of the north being heavily affected with some losing their homes & entire livelihood’s including lots of dear friends & whanau of The Big Fresh Collective - We turned to local artists & businesses to donate a bit of their time and support to a great cause in order to raise some funds for those in need ❤

Footmahi For Tāmaki Makaurau is a non for profit, Footwork & Juke inspired compilation album where artists from all over Aotearoa & the rest of the world have donated tracks in support of The Victims of the recent floods and the people of Tāmaki Makaurau.

The compilation is centered around raising money for the victims of the floods and also restoring a bit of love and happiness back through the way we know best; with good music!

Created on a $0 budget with tracks donated from acclaimed artists locally and abroad; The compilation will be available under a name-your-own-price deal on Bandcamp which means you get to choose how much you want to donate towards the cause and you receive a high-quality download of the album - 100% of profits will be going directly to The Auckland City Mission  ❤

The 4 tracks are all based on the famous "coupé-décalé" drum pattern (from Ivory Coast), combined with strong trancey synth leads, which create a unique balance between organic and digital textures in their music.


About Kass Kass Rizer

Kass Kass Rizer is a duo which includes Ivorian DJ and producer Asna and the French DJ and producer anyoneID . This project is the result of their first collaboration on the track "Abissa", a club killer which brings their two universes together to create a dynamic blend of Coupé-décalé and electronic inspired dance music. KKR's music wants to shout out a hybrid and international vision with a very strong club aesthetic and a new vision of African rhythms.
