This professional musical background is reflected in each track and live set, contributing dynamics, nuances, and sonic depth.
Currently based in Mexico, he was a resident DJ at one of the most important clubs in the Riviera Maya, where he developed a versatile performance with a strong impact on the dance floor.

Floating Layers I

Pijãr is a new alias of a guy we have quietly observed unfolding over the past few years. Arikas - electronic music enthusiast, a DJ, an active member of the Lithuanian electronic music community. At the moment, he lives in northern Norway, where together with co-minded people, he supports the movement of the electronic scene. Music plays a vital role in Arikas's life. It pushes forward both, his personal goals and various projects in Norway or Lithuania – developing platforms such as Tamsioji Pusė, Monument, and the „Behind the river“ Dj collective. For the past year, the artist has been in various festivals, playing in Norwegian clubs, closed parties and in his beloved nature, thus gaining musical and educational experience.

In the nineties a move to the UK came as a consequence of his studies and with him a pulsating eagerness which helped Lateral Movement to dive right into the local music culture, effervescent as ever. There he meandered effortlessly through genres, taking him deeper into the arts whilst aiding his curiosity, from free jazz to indietronica. Returning to his homeland, Portugal, subtracted him from this rich diversity and forced him to become a strong supporter of the alternative scenes, where he looked to push people and projects that shared his values and vision. There and then he decided to embark on a different kind of journey and took upon himself the responsibility of discovering new music and to share it with the community. To this day techno and its many guises are his passion, especially the deeper and hypnotic realms, where ambience and atmosphere play the main role.

Tiago é @jamesgrouper, alter ego adoptado a partir do nome próprio e sujeito a traduções interpretativas que nos fazem querer arrepiar caminho. O quebra-cabeças é também transposto para a forma como conduz os seus sets - autênticas viagens subliminares onde a exploração sonora transversal à paisagem electrónica nos arrasta para um universo pleno de encontros inesperados mas onde reina a harmonia e encontramos o aconchego. Nem dois anos depois, em 2011, aceita o convite para integrar o coletivo Elements, uma plataforma de renome dedicada à música eletrónica, sediada em Coimbra. Esta promotora revelou-se um marco fundamental na sua evolução artística, abrindo portas para atuar em eventos e clubes icónicos da cena eletrónica, tanto em Coimbra como no Porto. Foi ao lado de artistas que admira, como David Rodrigues, Nelson Flip, The Advent, Deepbass, Brando Lupi, Nobody Home, NTOGN, BLNDR, Antigone, Dorian Gray, Freddy K e Henning Baer, que Rui G. consolidou a sua identidade sonora.

Dedicado, curioso e ambicioso, Rui G. compromete-se a ultrapassar barreiras musicais, apurando constantemente a sua técnica, descobrindo e revelando novas nuances das paisagens sonoras que oferece ao público. Os seus sets transcendem géneros e desafiam perceções pré-concebidas, convidando o público a uma autêntica viagem sensorial, sempre surpreendente.

Nos últimos tempos, tem marcado presença em clubes de referência como o Gare (Porto), Stilvoll Club (Neuss, Alemanha) e KABINET MÚZ (Brno, República Checa). Em 2022, atinge um dos pontos altos da sua carreira ao atuar no Boom Festival (The Gardens), o maior festival de música eletrónica em Portugal.
