2023년 첫번째 벌트 팟캐스트는 텔아비브 출신으로 현재는 앤트워프를 중심으로 활동중인 테크노 아티스트 Yogg의 한시간 세트와 함께 합니다. 2018년 스코파빅의 3주년 밤을 위해 벌트에서 플레이하여 우리에게도 친숙한 Yogg는, 미래지향적인 레이블 Parallax Records를 이끌며 유명한 퀴어파티 Homopatik와 텔아비브의 테크노 클럽 The Block Club의 레지던트 디제이로 활동해왔습니다. 우아함을 담은 역동적인 그루브를 표현하는 Yogg의 특별한 믹스와 함께 2023년 활기찬 새해를 시작해봅니다.

The first vurt podcast of 2023 is a one-hour set by Yogg, a techno artist from Tel Aviv who is now based in Antwerp. Yogg is familiar to us from playing at vurt for Scopavic's third anniversary night in 2018. He has been a resident DJ at famous queer party Homopatik and Tel Aviv's techno club The Block Club, and fronting forward-looking label Parallax Records since 2014. 
Let's start new year 2023 with Yogg's special mix contains dynamic groove and edge of elegance.

Considered as one of the leading figures in Tel Aviv’s techno scene, Yogg (Yuval Goren) soundscapes are characterized by a dynamic, groovy approach that leaves enough room for experimentation and ambient additions. His musical influences provided him with an edge of elegance, a feature that makes the selections in his sets so notable. Having created Parallax Records back in 2014, he managed to maintain his musical signature, ensuring the freedom to explore further and produce in accordance with his own standards.
His passionate approach to music has given him the honor of performing in institutions such as Berghain, Concrete (Paris), Contact (Tokyo), Vurt (Seoul), becoming a resident DJ at the famous queer party Homopatik (DE), AVADON , and  The Block Club (TLV). he Released his work on various labels such as Non-Series, Counterchange, Gradient, Tales Collective, Illegal Alien, 30D Records, and Remixing Shlømo on Taapion, Xanexx on Scopavik (South Korea) and more.

In the vast expanse of the universe, beyond the reaches of our known reality, lies a realm of infinite layers, each harbouring its secrets and mysteries. The rhythmic pulse of Dub Techno finds its resonance within this intricate web of cosmic dimensions.
At the heart of this sub-universe is a clandestine gathering known as the Assembly of Frequencies. The Assembly comprises beings from diverse corners of the cosmos, united by their shared affinity for the ethereal realm of sound. They convene within an interdimensional chamber, concealed within the fabric of space-time, to explore the harmonic tapestry that connects the layers of existence.
Each layer of the sub-universe is a universe in itself, woven together by celestial threads of energy and vibration. The Assembly of Frequencies seeks to decipher this interplay, unlocking the underlying harmony reverberating through the cosmic corridors. Their ultimate quest is to unveil the primordial composition that binds all layers together—a symphony of existence.
Within the Assembly, a luminary named Synchrona emerges as a critical figure, possessing an innate ability to discern the rhythmic patterns within the fabric of the sub-universe. As the Assembly of Frequencies continues to unravel the mysteries of the sub-universe, their insights reshape the understanding of Dub Techno, infusing it with a newfound spiritual depth. Nico grew up in a small coastal town in Galicia in the late 80s. In 2008, he started to involve himself with deeper shades of electronic music and their profound sentimental atmospheres. His interest became an obsession, and within two years he began to play in clubs across the Spanish northwest.

According to the artist, he was influenced by a golden generation of local DJs who helped define and shape his sound in terms of dance music, along with a rounded love of legendary bands and artists from across the musical spectrum. His musical philosophy is that everyone has something to bring, so there is always something to learn.

In 2015, Nico moved to Barcelona, expanding his horizons both artistically and personally. He’s currently one of the residents of the renowned Nitsa Club, and together with the duo Binomi, is responsible for HIRU, a multi-venue party across the city designed as an ode to club culture.

Nico prefers not to pigeonhole himself into any particular style, but his sets are nothing short of hypnotic. When he plays, he looks for that peculiar sensory union with the dance floor that connects them without words, seeking to lead the night in the same direction together.

O importante é o movimento, não o seu objectivo”, dizia Mauno Koivisto, talvez o mais importante político Finlandês do século 20. Não sabemos se foi por causa de afirmações como esta, que um jovem viseense de nome Pedro Coelho, resolveu adoptar tão obscuro mas significativo nome artístico, mas a sua ainda nascente vida musical parece encaixar nesta máxima. Mauno Koivisto descobre, divulga, faz e passa música, aparentemente de forma despreocupada sobre onde vai chegar e muito mais interessado no processo, mesmo que o leve por caminhos tortuosos. Tanto assim é, que se tem apresentado sob entidades diversas: além de Mauno Koivisto, também há o místico Jonsson Toll e a promíscua Cindy, vozes dos muitos e vastos mundos musicais que habitam a mente de Pedro, mundos esses essencialmente dominados pelo techno, mas também habitados pelo seu interesse pelo electro, house e até punk e metal. Pedro é uma mente inquisitiva de curiosidade insaciável, que alia a um talento inato, cujo potencial se vai revelando em edições em selos nacionais como a Reaktivate, Elements e Extended Records, bem como editoras estrangeiras como a Vent, onde já tem um EP e uma remistura (ambos em vinil, como Cindy), o que já o levou a ser, não o primeiro, mas talvez o mais jovem português a alguma vez actuar no fundamental Tresor, em Berlim, no passado mês de Dezembro, com apenas 20 anos. A sua chegada ao cartaz do Lux é por isso um encontro há muito marcado com o seu próprio destino. Não se sabia quando aconteceria, mas era certo que tinha de acontecer. Mauno Koivisto e as muitas vozes na sua cabeça, exigem a nossa atenção.

O percurso musical de Rui G. denota a sua insaciável curiosidade e dedicação à pesquisa sonora. Movido pelo desejo de explorar novos horizontes da música eletrónica, foi desenvolvendo a sua técnica com habilidade e sensibilidade, desafiando-se constantemente a construir narrativas musicais imersivas, onde cada set é uma jornada cuidadosamente tecida.

O seu fascínio pela eletrónica foi crescendo ao longo dos anos, permitindo um refinamento pessoal que culminou com a sua estréia oficial como DJ, em 2009. Nem dois anos depois, em 2011, aceita o convite para integrar o coletivo Elements, uma plataforma de renome dedicada à música eletrónica, sediada em Coimbra. Esta promotora revelou-se um marco fundamental na sua evolução artística, abrindo portas para atuar em eventos e clubes icónicos da cena eletrónica, tanto em Coimbra como no Porto. Foi ao lado de artistas que admira, como David Rodrigues, Nelson Flip, The Advent, Deepbass, Brando Lupi, Nobody Home, NTOGN, BLNDR, Antigone, Dorian Gray, Freddy K e Henning Baer, que Rui G. consolidou a sua identidade sonora.

Dedicado, curioso e ambicioso, Rui G. compromete-se a ultrapassar barreiras musicais, apurando constantemente a sua técnica, descobrindo e revelando novas nuances das paisagens sonoras que oferece ao público. Os seus sets transcendem géneros e desafiam perceções pré-concebidas, convidando o público a uma autêntica viagem sensorial, sempre surpreendente.

Nos últimos tempos, tem marcado presença em clubes de referência como o Gare (Porto), Stilvoll Club (Neuss, Alemanha) e KABINET MÚZ (Brno, República Checa). Em 2022, atinge um dos pontos altos da sua carreira ao atuar no Boom Festival (The Gardens), o maior festival de música eletrónica em Portugal.
