The 1566 celestial phenomena over Basel is quite renowned. Less well-known is the account by Johannes Carinus, also dated August 7, 1566, which describes what may well be the first abduction phenomenon. In a letter to his wife, he recounts:
“In my dream, I found myself aboard one of the black ships we had seen in the sky that morning... I cannot describe what I saw, my mind was too troubled...”
Johannes Carinus continues his story by describing what may well have been the effect of an acceleration.
“…Three times, I felt an invisible hand crushing me. My ears were ringing, I could no longer move…”
He finally ends his letter by describing a state of weightlessness.
“…I was about to lose consciousness when I felt my body come back to life, my mind lighten… and I was floating in the air…”

Rumblin Cynth Rampo is based on the South Glamorgan coast she describes herself as cacophonist. Working in the genres of ambient, industrial ambient and noise she explores the worlds of science, space, heavy industry and the deep dark places of earth (or any things that she fancies).

Her tracks are created using modular and hardware synths, soft synths, diy electronic noise boxes, bread-boarded temporary sound generators and effect as well as field recordings. 

Inspiration comes from the natural world, science and space.  Influences include Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Pierre Schaeffer, Daphne Orme, Delia Derbyshire, Louis and Bebe Barron, Can, Cluster, Tangerine Dream, Hawkwind, Throbbing Gristle, to name but a few.
