Outstanding. What the Aurorae must sound like :)

This is the second track of a new collaboration with my music friend Pete Swinton. I will be re-working some of his tracks from his excellent Project Drone Adzan Maghrib album.

This track is a re-work of the Project Adzan 3. It was mixed in the AUM app on my iPad and used the excellent apps Mononoke and VHS Synth.

SCSI Love

Mixed field recordings construct two tracks, two greatly different Cathedrals. The Listener is walking between them to discover that there are different forms of sanctity.

"Katedra" means "cathedral" in Lithuanian language so the album makes a prarallel between primeval Lithuanian forests that were considered sacred in old times and churches as the buildings of sanctity.

The first track of this the album is constructed by layering field recordings from one of such primeval forests that is located near town of Juodkrantė during the summer of 2021. The second track is made between summer of 2021 and first months of 2022 by synthesizing organ sound and mixing it with field recordings from couple of real world catholic churches.

For retuned mandolin, synthesizer, feedback and room resonance. The piece was not concieved as a winter soundscape but it all seems to make sense and the title too. Perhaps tomorrow there will be another new one with rebab (which I have been composing/preparing for all last week) and wind instruments, other captures. Who knows. It's like the weather. Checking in with you all tomorrow.

Phoenix Reborn

Rumblin Cynth Rampo is based on the South Glamorgan coast she describes herself as cacophonist. Working in the genres of ambient, industrial ambient and noise she explores the worlds of science, space, heavy industry and the deep dark places of earth (or any things that she fancies).

Her tracks are created using modular and hardware synths, soft synths, diy electronic noise boxes, bread-boarded temporary sound generators and effect as well as field recordings. 

Inspiration comes from the natural world, science and space.  Influences include Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Pierre Schaeffer, Daphne Orme, Delia Derbyshire, Louis and Bebe Barron, Can, Cluster, Tangerine Dream, Hawkwind, Throbbing Gristle, to name but a few.
