I used samples taken from a live field recording of licensed sound therapist Decembra Cervantes and improvised modulations to create this meditative improv. Somewhere in the two hour session I entered into tranquil state of consciousness and began to improvise vocalizations and flute on top of Decembra's samples. we will likely be editing it for a shorter more listener friendly experience and excited for more work like this and more together. Recording of the live performance at Koffie Leute Festival which took place at De Helling in Utrecht, on the 15th of March of 2025. Loved playing this modular synth live set for this crowd, really enjoyed this one. Felt like the energy of the set was a perfect match with everyone there that night. This liveset focuses on the high energy tracks that emerged in the last years, and is an iteration of a show played at Amsterdam Dance Event 2024. The melodic tracks of the start of the set evolve into Electro, Breakbeat and IDM territory. 

Mixing the recording took me a while. The intensity of the live sound of the modular was perfect at the venue that night, also quite raw. Taming it without losing the original energy and intentions was my goal. I think this mix still contains that raw energy, yet more accessible without being there in the moment. Enjoy!
