Best known for his uplifting melodies and swanky grooves, Tommy Gun has always leaned towards the lighter side of dance music as a DJ. Schooled in the classics yet with a modern sensibility, Tommy Gun strikes a rare balance between feeding the proverbial beast on the dancefloor and presenting it with something new.

Tommy Gun honed his craft over a ten-year period as resident DJ and promoter of the pioneering ‘Untamed Youth’ club night in Cape Town. With left field institution Fiction as its home base, Untamed Youth introduced local crowds to a new wave of indie/electronic and disco sounds and proved to be a strong platform for up-and-coming DJ’s and performers alike. 

Inspired to reach out to diverse audiences, Tommy Gun has played at major clubs and festivals across South Africa as well as internationally in Mauritius, London and Copenhagen. He has also featured alongside respected international artists such as Classixx, Marcus Marr, Para One, The 2 Bears and Jacques Renault.

We Set Sail is a cinematic instrumental post-rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. Originally founded in 2006 by Marné Gelderbloem as an open-ended vehicle for artistic expression, the group grew organically and formally introduced their music to the South African circuit in 2009.

Today We Set Sail is a 5-piece band consisting of Marné on guitars, Richard Brunyee on keys and synth, Joao Luis Lanca Henriques on guitar, Breda Weise on drums and Lee Thomson on trumpet and flügelhorn. The band members come from musical backgrounds as diverse as jazz, classical, samba, metal, rock and punk and their writing process is a collaborative effort that results in a wholly unique sound.

The group's first album, Something About The Moon, was well received by the South African public in 2013 and lead to collaborative commercial efforts with Design Indaba, Sailor Jerry and Absolut Vodka, as well as a successful run on the local festival circuit (Synergy, Park Acoustics, Rocking the Daisies, Harvest Fest) and further afield (Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Namibia).

The group's second album, Animal, is set to be released on vinyl, CD and in digital format in April 2015. International fans can look forward to an extended European tour that will introduce We Set Sail's new streamlined electronic/rock offering in a series of live shows in Denmark, Germany and beyond. 

Going forward, We Set Sail looks forward to growing into the film industry, creating film scores and building on their reputation for innovative artistic expression alongside long-time visual collaborator Chris Slabber.

Voluptuous basslines, jackin’ beats and sleek melodies are dropped and layered at just the right moment - creating his signature main set sound.

A firm fixture on the Mother City’s music map, Chris Jack started playing house music when he was just 14years old and the last ten years behind the controls have taken him to clubs and festivals all over South Africa and more recently legendary party isle, Ibiza. He’s shared the stage with giants and groundbreakers like Sasha, Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia, James Zabiela  and The Freestylers to name a few — but we get the feeling that he’s just getting warmed up.

Impressive technical skills and an intuitive feel for what raises the temperature on the dancefloor makes Chris Jack 100% dependable as a DJ.
