Having just found an old hard-drive stuffed with things recorded in the dim / distant past, I've opened up PLOUGHMYTH HISTORIES to make various selections available for a short spell until I replace them with something else.   

Frostwork is a solo project founded by Dagon ( Heathen Deity ) in 2007 as a way of personal expressionism. 

In 2008 Frostwork released the first demo The Rites of Winter: The First Storm.

In 2008 "Shades of Grey " a track taken from The Rites Of Winter : The First Storm, Also appeared on the "Union Black" compilation of British black metal bands, released on Coup de Grace Records.

Wolcensmen is currently a one-man project from England sharing a vision of atmospheric Heathen folk music. Other influences creep in, but the core of the music is traditional.

I am a singer and multi-instrumentalist. My initial incarnation was as a           wyrd/psych-folk singer-musician, and saw my debut solo album, Wednesday’s Child, released in  2010. Subsequent (unreleased) solo albums include self-penned material alongside an eclectic mix of covers from various genres. 

I have gigged and/or recorded with Elowen, The Rowan Amber Mill (album releases include 'Midsummers', 'Heartwood' and 'Folk Devils and Moral Panics' ) Corncrow (album releases include 'Sweet Nightingale' and 'So Brightly Shining') The Atwood Machine, Mats Bergman's 'Burnt More Bridges Than Cross The River Thames' vinyl release, Dead Melodies 'Murken Hollow' and featured on various collaborations; releases including Dark Britannica's We Bring You A King With A Head Of Gold and Rif Mountain's Echoes From The Mountain, all widely available .

The lockdown gave me ample opportunity for music to be made at Wyrd House Studio. Back to my folky roots, and after a 10 year hiatus, The Rowan Amber Mill released a mini-album 'Among the Gorse To Settle Scores', ahead of the full-length 'Golden Strings To Tether The Sun'. Wyrdstone is the work of musician Clive Murrell and features a concoction of psychedelic acid-folk guitar along with electronic ambient drones and loops inspired by the beauty and myth that surrounds the English countryside and beyond.
Wyrdstone's debut album 'Cuffern' was released in September 2009 on Reverb Worship.
Wyrdstone also features on the 2010 award winning folk compilation 'We Bring You A King With A Head Of Gold' released on Cold Spring Records and a brand new recording featured on Folk Police Recordings 'Weirdlore - Notes from the Folk Underground' compilation, released in June 2012.  A new album 'Potemkin Village Fayre' is due for release early 2016 on 'Recherche Recordings.'

Heathen Neo-Folk played on acoustic instruments including; violin, balalaika, glass flute, tin whistle, mouth harp, drums, bells and many more improvised, homemade 'instruments’ and subtle use of midi, accompanied by male and female vocals.

Concept :
To meditate on the Runes allowing them to bind themselves into songs and tell their own stories, whilst combining the outdoor feel of a live Blot Rite throughout, bringing the outside in and the inside out blending ‘Galdr and Skald magic’ with ‘Folk Music’ to re-kindle the fires of an ancient shared genetic memory of the Anglo Saxon that lives on in our spirit still.

Biography :
RunaFolk is a (non-gigging) Wodenist/Odinist self recorded solo project started in 2009 whilst recording balalaika at 4.00am in the morning with earphones on.
I became aware of the enormous thunder storm that had erupted over my house, so I stuck the SM57 mic out of the window I was already using and used spare tracks to record the storm in the same file….And so RunaFolk was born.
I have wanted to do a solo album like this for a while, based on the Futhark and a mix of Wodenism/ Odinism/ Heathenism, but as I play in other gigging bands, finding the time was always hard. Finally, inspired mainly by ‘The Winds that Sang of Midgard’s Fate’ by Hagalaz Runedance and the new Wardruna debut album (along with too many other influences to list here), Wyrd willed that it was time for RunaFolk to begin, signaled by the sound of Thunor’s/ Thor’s approval and Woden/Odin, God of Storms!
It soon became obvious that this solo project would benefit from adding female vocals but I specifically wanted my guest female vocalist to be interested in Wodenism/ Odinism. Having tried to recruit several female singers without much success I had become resigned to the fact that it may not be a realistic possibility….But the Gods and Wyrd were again kind to RunaFolk, as I had no idea that a female friend who was living right below me in the same place at that time, was interested in the same subject and had her own solo music project. After listening to a demo of one of her songs, where she played electric guitar, keyboards, violin and did all of her own vocals, recording and mastering, I demanded to hear more….And from that moment Sorgbyrden ‘the song bird’ joined RunaFolk on guest female vocals.
