Mechanical Pressure is a multi-genre sound producer from Dnipro, Ukraine. Without exaggeration, his most successful breaks project was recognized by the International Breaks Awards 2018 alongside Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, and Deekline.

Drum & bass was the starting point of Alexey's creative exploration, and later his musical repertoire expanded to other breakbeat-oriented styles such as breaks, dubstep, IDM, and now cinematic ambient. So Mechanical Pressure's music instantly found a place in the catalogs of Ukrainian and foreign labels, and received the support of the flagships of the breaks industry such as The Crystal Method, Future Funk Squad, BETA, etc.

We sincerely admire his deep approach and understanding of styles and are happy to share this two-hour mix with all of you!

"Hello, friends! I was super happy to be asked to do this mix, as the Ukrainian scene and its people are very dear to my heart. Dima asked me for a mix to represent my take on the breakbeat sound as we enter into this new year. I've always felt that breaks can be a versatile and wide-reaching genre, and I’ve tried to explore some of that in this mix.

There are organic, percussive tracks, florida acid, electro and techno ingredients, some reggae, grime, and hip-hop elements, deep rollers, melancholic, melodic bangers, shroomy mind expanders, and plenty of rib cage rattling bass. Inspired by the success of bringing Carl Finlow at the end of 2021, our team developed the brand identity for a new events series in Kyiv. Everything was ready to start — Umwelt booking, the lineup formed, flights paid for, announcements and ads set up.

But all that remains since then are memories of unfulfilled dreams and desires. And now — a tribute mix from Sparkless featuring the exact tracklist he prepared for EDGE.
