"Six months after dropping his debut EP Fractures, New York based producer David Lindmer brings his second release to Running Clouds. The Abandoned Spring EP is his first EP for the label and is supported by a host of remixers, showcasing the labels hottest underground talent.

The EP opens with the original, Abandoned Spring. Lindmer has one clear aim: to take you on a trip. Melodies blossom like the first warmth of spring underpinned by brooding undertones that elevate the experience on an even deeper level.

The first of the remixes is by Italian duo Heolik, this is their debut release and what a fearless introduction it is. Their vision of Spring is deeper and darker, this track flows with heavenly harmonics and is full of bold retro energy. The chilling bass tones will rattle rib cages and set the dance floor alight.

Argentinian duo, Biotech Patagonia, join the EP with their beautifully crafted and haunting vocals that will take the listener on a mesmerizing and unexpected journey into the Biotech soundscape.

We close out the EP with a killer remix by Greek based producer Haccob. This release is a must for lovers of the progressive house sound. Hacobb shows off his superb production skills with this wonderfully arranged groove that will hypnotize you as it twists and turns to its dramatic conclusion."

Axel Haube (Atmosphere Records, BeatFreak Recordings) (BE) delivers three tracks, perfectly balanced between powerful rolling bass lines, energetic driven grooves with a melodic twist on top. Just the way we like..

“Vesuvius” and “Caldera” are both peak time weapons. Hypnotic leads will take you on a melodic journey - while being pushed forward by an ongoing buzz of energy caused by the powerful drums.

“Panarea” has a more organic feeling based on the rhythmic percussion. Panarea is the kind of track that brings euphoria regardless when or where its played. A perfect counterpart of the other tracks on the EP.

Melodic maestro Nico Morano (KATERMUKKE, DAYS like NIGHTS) (BE) comes with a beautiful remix of “Vesuvius”. While keeping the drive of the original, a typical Nico Morano signature melody on top creates a more uplifting vibe to the package. Like we often say, best of both worlds.

The originals of the twelfth EP of the label are provided by a really talented artist from the UK, called His. Creator. The three detailed and well balanced originals, of which ‘Nightshift’ is the title track, are accompanied by a remix of the Hungarian Justrice.

The first track, ‘Nocturnal Eye’, already starts off with a lot of tension and sets the tone. The track has a compelling build-up towards the middle part of the track. Afterwards it slowly comes down without getting boring once, all guided by what we could name a signature piano synth. 

The title track, ‘Nightshift’, will make you fly for sure. The lead will bring you to some higher atmospheres, again guided by this piano synth. The track has an outstanding and surprising arrangement, which is mainly noticeable in the break, from which the lead rises again. 

REM, is probably the most powerful track of the EP with the heaviest lower end of the four. On the lower end a cutting synth is floating, which makes the full composition suitable for the dancefloor.

At Justrice’s interpretation of REM, he managed to bring in a lot of groove with his signature and remarkable percussion. The extended break gives the track some more tension, nevertheless it still stays very suitable for the dancefloor, maybe even more. The remix brings us to the end of a strong and well composed EP.

For the first release of 2021, Infinite Depth welcomes the Argentinian Emiliano Demarco (@emiliano-demarco) to the label. Emiliano delivered three sophisticated originals with ‘Blue Apocalypse’ as the title track of the EP. As an addition the British His. Creator (@his_creator) managed to create a great remix of the final track of the EP.

The first track is ‘Blue Apocalypse’. This track already represents the heavy grooves which are present throughout the full EP. The synthwork smoothly matches the groove and together they are forming a perfect interplay. The minimalistic development of the track ensures that the break and its build-up are becoming pretty intense, after which the arrangement goes on in its trusted rhythm.

The next track is called ‘Antimateria’. The first thing that strikes the ear are the sharp percussion and drums, followed by the acid flowing through the track. As soon as the first break hits, a captivating melody comes forward. This plucky synth represents an antimatter, which collides into its matter during the second break. When an antimatter and a matter collide, a lot of energy gets released. Exactly what is happening at the final and unexpected climax. 

When such an energy is released an empty space remains. The third track ‘Memoria’ embodies this empty space. This track is atmospheric with a more pounding lower part. During the most calm moment all elements are blending together and are falling into another dimension. A dimension where the track becomes more vigorous.

His. Creator took the atmospheric and dreamy ambiance of the original and surrounded it with a second layer of warm elements. At one point these layers have to make place for the harsh and falling melody, but after a while this melody got wrapped again by the positive and pleasant ambiance. This minimalistic remix forms a perfect end to this sophisticated EP.
