The Jolisa EP marks a significant shift in Luca dell’Orso’s sound. Although the electric hooks and rolling rhythms that characterise the dutchman’s signature style are still present, new avenues are explored. One notable change is the addition of vocals, care of the EP’s namesake: Jolisa. The opening, “Sixteen”, smoulders with a palpable intensity. Steady beats and textured pads support synth stabs as impassioned vocals recant a tale of past lessons. “Reach Out”, on the flip, is a different animal. Big and daring, chords chug next slicing snares while lyrics brim with hope. Two instrumental works balance the four tracker. “Nighttime” is perfectly sculpted with a soulful melody and clean percussion, vocoder lyrics giving a sorrowful slant to track. A true epic closes: “Tomorrow’s Already Here.” Bold keys and racing rhythms collide in this 80s steeped extravaganza, electro-disco and car chases in this incredible end. A defining EP from Luca dell’Orso.

Brazilian duo RIKO & GUGGA make a powerful debut on Perspectives Digital with a two track EP that showcases their signature fusion of melodic depth and finely tuned dancefloor precision.  Known for blending 80's-inspired synth textures with the pulse of contemporary Melodic Techno, the São Paulo-based pair have cultivated a distinctive sound that's earned widespread support from industry heavyweights like Vintage Culture, Solomun, Adriatique, Nora En Pure, Cassian, Kevin de Vries, and Miss Monique, among many others.

"Valkyrie" opens the release with cinematic flair.  An ethereal lead glides over a propulsive groove, gradually building into a soaring climax shaped by intricate layers and rhythmic tension.  Equal parts emotional and explosive, it's tailor-made for big rooms and peak moments on the floor.

On the flip, "Prophet" explores darker territory, driven by pulsing basslines, hypnotic arpeggios, and a deeper melodic sensibility.  The arrangement unfolds with intention, weaving elements in and out of focus before locking into a nocturnal groove that resonates both physically and emotionally.

With previous releases on respected imprints like Purified, Siona Records, Running Clouds, and UV, RIKO & GUGGA have emerged as one of the most compelling production duos from Brazil's underground.  Their debut on Darin Epsilon's label pushes their artistry to new heights, delivering two standout tracks with unmistakable precision, atmosphere, and flair.

Owing their foundations to traditional afrobeat (and named after a Fela Kuti song), the Brooklyn-based, female-fronted band, Underground System, has built an international reputation around a seamlessly executed stage show, astonishing wherever they go, and compelling crowds to move with unbridled verve. 

Robbing American “afrobeat” of its derivative formalism, Underground System continues to reinvent their brand of global dance music, remaining a force determined to recreate, redefine, and reconstruct. 

In September 2018 the band released their debut LP What Are You on Soul Clap Records, the much-loved New York City imprint known for their coupling of party-ready DJ culture and shapeshifting live acts. Departing from the extended forms formally associated with Underground System’s live performances and stylistic roots. Hints of afrobeat, no wave, world, electronic, contemporary classical, disco, house, and genre-defying elements combine tightly to reflect a self-aware, edgy, and cohesive statement not currently being made by any other band.

Following up on “What Are You,” Underground System returns to Soul Clap Records with a remix package & music video for their standout single “Just A Place” due out, June 7th. Full of heavy hitters and dancefloor bombs, leading off is Germany’s king of the remix, Gerd Janson, who gives us a powerful 80’s influenced main mix and a stripped back drum tool. Joining Gerd on the package, UK legend Greg Wilson, who joins forces with his son Che, along with Soul Clap, Midnight Magic, Sol Power All-Stars, and Underground System mastermind, Peter Matson.

The sounds of Guerilla records, Northern Exposure and the mash-up aesthetics of early Rage parties all echo through the ranks. From time to time, a new name will appear on the scene with a unique, standout sound that commands people at all levels of the industry to sit up and take notice. Following two sold-out EPs on his vinyl-only imprint, Semi Delicious, UK producer Demi Riquísimo is one such example and on the 9th August he’ll be teaching another lesson on how to ignite the dancefloor with his third release of the year: 54 Reasons EP.

Another four-track, tour-de-force fusion of house, disco and electro, the 54 Reasons EP opens with ‘Bow UFO’ – an upbeat, percussive Disco-fused banger on which Demi gives us a taste of summer by bringing in synthy notes and adding an acidic edge to the track. A2’s ‘Anxious Elephants’ neatly follows on with its deeper, darker sonics, a groove-filled bassline and hypnotic lyrics, topped off with warm pads and soft flute instruments to perfectly balance things out.
