Henrik Schwarz'first work for Running Back and concurrent solo piece since 2013 is a prime example of the man's uncanny production abilities. Recent years saw Schwarz more and more gravitating towards the intersections between electronic music and jazz, classical compositions or african sounds than serving the weekly bread and butter at clubland's busy buffet car. Now, Not Also You is a return to exactly that honourable craft and service. Built around an imagined and imaginary curtain lecture from a saint to a sinner and housed in one of Henrik's “most techno” looking robes as of yet, it's a no-brainer or shall we dare say a reaper of a track – without frills but with a Fata Morgana like rave signal. Oh, there is a dub for snobs (Not You Also), too. Peak time, high time, any time. Nice sleeve on top.

NYCs finest DJ Spinna comes through on Local Talk with an epic release that might surprise those of you expecting a more traditional soulful house workout. This time Spinna went out of his comfort zone with a deep warehouse journey that works equally well in dark European house clubs or at the Shelter in NYC. ”TB or not TB” got that perfect blend of space darkness, analogue synths and that old school house thump. Initially it’s quite raw and simplistic but the true magic of this track begins halfway in (be patient!). If there ever was a journey track, this is the one!

Custom-made club studies shifting between sound factories, hot haciendas, heavenly lagoons and chrome-plated dance floors: fast, slow, hard and soft.

For her Power Plant imprint's first release in the past 17 months, Swedish DJ-producer La Fleur starts off 2019 with her outstanding 'Aphelion' EP - a two-track release filled with conviction and spirit.

Ahead of its release, La Fleur has handed the EP's title-track over to Mixmag for a premiere. Explaining the thought process behind her latest creation, she tells us: “Aphelion is the point in the orbit when the planet is the farthest from the sun, so I wanted to give this an otherworldly vibe with the chords and the melody loop.”

Aphelion EP drops on March 15 via Power Plant.
