Foule Contact is about freeing ourselves from barriers and finding ourselves together, through music in its more profound way. About one year after our Vol. 2, clubs and dancing bars were closed again in France. This sad news made us decide to launch again our Edits series, slightly renaming it “Paradise edits”. Fortunately, the good contacts we made through the last year helped us pulling together this new compilation quite fast. First, we had the Brooklyn duo Fundido, part of Earth Beat crew, with whom we had been chatting for quite a while and talked many times about having an edit from then. Then, we asked Sputnik, a DJ from Moscow to join, as we were enchanted by his work for That’s A Steal and his release on Gop Tun records earlier this year. A few days later, Nicolas Kotowicz, another Russian artist, contacted us to share his edit and we thought he would be a perfect addition to the comp. Finally, Latane introduced us to Lloyd with a bunch of edits and we were very keen to include him too.
Here’s the result of their works and a few questions we asked them about their stories and their approach to edits.

Justin Jay and crew are sailing around the world and back for the debut of Fantastic Wax, a new vinyl-only offshoot of Fantastic Voyage. For the inaugural release, they've tapped international man of music Romain FX.

Following up his Tasty Edits EP on Fantastic Voyage last December, the Hong Kong-based DJ, party promoter, and radio host has reworked four hard-to-find African cuts in hopes of giving them a second life. Informed by over a decade of experience playing DJ sets across the globe, all four tracks have been edited and remixed to fit nicely into your rotation.

On deck for our premiere is Gambian Neptune, a track that sails strongly from the onset with a moody melody, spaced out drums and an epic vocal. Arranged (or perhaps rearranged) for maximum effect, RFX navigates us past the intro into a variety of catchy riffs and breakdowns while regularly returning to the vocal hook that ties the song together.

True to the label's founding principles of friendship, fun, and freedom, Fantastic Wax 001 is an exciting dive into music unknown that's set to make waves in the crowded sea of vinyl edits. Check out all four tracks when the record ships August 26th.

From party people with shoulder pads, big hair, white Rolls-Royces, Panama hats, the Fragrant Harbour that is Hong Kong, had a very unique Hotel / Clubbing scene before places like DD’s, Canton Disco and Hot Gossip opened their doors.

These Discotheques were a place of creativity, panache and mischief of the era. They were all destinations of desire.

After the high-in-demand digital release of the “Extinct Melodies From The Canto Club” we’ve had a lot of requests for more Cantonese edits since features on Stamp The Wax and big names such as Blessed Madonna, Nd_baumecker, Crazy P, Ben UFO, Tim Sweeney and more have dropped these in their DJ sets. 
So we decided to start a series called “廣東會所 Canto Clubhouse” which will be dedicated to Cantonese edits. And what better way to start this series with the two canto head diggers of Hong Kong: MH and RFX. 

Club friendly and cheese is what this release is all about.
