Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre's leading labels, including institutions such as Soma, Cocoon & Drumcode, his own BEK Audio imprint and - most recently - Patrick Topping’s Trick label. 


With a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and two Boiler Room sessions under his belt, as well as featured music on BBC 1 Drama ‘Stonemouth' and numerous collaborations with artists like MR. G, GreenVelvet, Debra Debs, Mark Broom and Speedy J, Gary has been an undeniably formidable force since hitting the scene in 2007.


His seminal 2012 debut album 'Bring a Friend', was championed by the legendary Soma Records label, marking their 100th release. The years that followed left a kaleidoscopic trail of releases spanning a multitude of studio skills, influences, styles and aliases including the house driven grooves of Tanera; to the relentlessly harder sounds of Sosak. Gary’s second full length album under his own name 'Dal Riata' dropped in November 2019, followed by a series of incredible releases including this year’s Submarine and Supervan EPs - with even more to come. 


Gary’s renowned for his incendiary live sets, destroying dancefloors across the globe including Tokyo’s Womb, Fabric London, Awakenings, T in the Park, Spazio in Rome, Output NYC, Printworks, and Timewarp, to name a few. On top of a formidable touring schedule, Beck heads up BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels on the scene. Now approaching its 52nd release, the label boasts an impressive roster of artists including Floorplan, Mark Broom, Slam, DJ Rush & Ritzi Lee.

A big change is coming. More next week, but I thought before all that happens I take you back in time. I have various boxes full of hard disks and I have been recording my sets since like more than 15 years really, so I have quite a collection. I randomly chose a box and within that box randomly chose a disk and found a set I played at the famous Florida 135 on March 1st 2014. So almost exactly 9 years ago. Here is the first hour of that set. I thought it might be nice for a change to check back what I did 9 years ago and you can judge if my skills and music selection has improved or.. well, the opposite … you tell me in the comments below ;)

Together, we painted the canvas for what turned out to be the highlight event of the night. To all of you who joined us, a colossal thank you. Zu den bekanntesten Wirkungen des Serotonins auf das Zentralnervensystem zählen seine Auswirkungen auf die Stimmungslage. Es gibt uns das Gefühl der Gelassenheit, inneren Ruhe und Zufriedenheit. Dabei dämpft es eine ganze Reihe unterschiedlicher Gefühlszustände, insbesondere Angstgefühle, Aggressivität, Kummer und das Hungergefühl. Depressive Verstimmungen lassen sich neurochemisch teilweise mit Serotonin-Wiederaufnahmehemmern oder der Serotonin-Vorstufe 5-Hydroxytryptophan verringern.
In der neurochemischen Forschung wird Oxytocin beim Menschen mit psychischen Zuständen wie Liebe, Vertrauen und Ruh in Zusammenhang gebracht. Diese Annahmen beruhen auf Experimenten, wie sie von Michael Kosfeld an der Universität Zürich durchgeführt wurden.

As a DJ, music producer, and event organizer, he has quickly garnered attention and made a name for himself in the Bavarian capital. With his unique sound, captivating personality, and undeniable charisma, Rad.Lez has become a notable figure in the local club scene, delivering exhilarating DJ sets at renowned venues like Bahnwärter Thiel, Legal, Harry Klein, Palais, and his DNA Club, where he has his residency. Beyond his individual achievements, Rad.Lez is a co-founder of TeamTURBO, an esteemed collective of Munich DJs. This platform has further elevated his profile, catching the attention of esteemed nightlife hotspots across Germany. Moreover, he has graced the lineup of renowned festivals, where he shared the stage with artists like Pan-Pot, Nina Kravitz, Lilly Palmer, I Hate Models, Reinier Zonneveld, Sam Paganini, and other big names. However, Rad.Lez's passion extends beyond his DJing endeavors. He dedicates countless productive hours in the studio, honing his craft as a music producer. In late 2022, he assumed the role of Deputy Label Head and A&R at Jaw Dropping Records, a rominent Cologne-based label known for showcasing promising and internationally emerging artists. In 2023, Rad.Lez released his first EP as a Label Head in Jaw Dropping Records, and his track “Space” became one of the best-selling tracks in the label's history within a few days. However, the biggest achievement of this talented producer was at the end of 2023 when his album “Emotional Resonance” on INVICTA Label hit the top position on Beatport's most sold Peak-Time Techno albums worldwide for 5 days in a row and secured the 3rd position in beatport.com's overall genres.
