The Ratazanas are an early reggae band from Portugal.

They have served as backing band for artists like Mr. Symarip and Susan Cadogan and shared stages with bands like The Slackers, The Aggrolites and Deal's Gone Bad.

Mariela Condo, descendientes del Pueblo Puruhá, ubicado en la sierra sur del Ecuador, es considerada por la prensa internacional como “una de las voces más singulares del nuevo canto latinoamericano, heredera directa de Chabuca Granda, de Violeta Parra, de Mercedes Sosa; hermana de Marta Gómez, de La Sole, de Lila Downs.” (EL PERUANO).

Recientemente presenta su nueva propuesta musical titulada "Pinceladas", en el que hace un recorrido musical por América Latina, transformando las raíces más profundas de la región en melodías que han formado parte de nuestra cultura.

Ha compartido escenario con artistas internacionales como Lila Downs, de México; Martha Gómez, de Colombia; Victoria Villalobos, de Perú; Beto Gómez, de México, y Juan Quintero, de Argentina.

En febrero de 2016, participó en el Festival WOMAD, uno de los encuentros más importantes de músicas del mundo organizado por Peter Gabriel. Y acaba de realizar una gira muy exitosa por Perú, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay y México donde conquistó a públicos de diversos escenarios y de edades.

Alfredo Lopes has been performing and writing jazz repertoire since his Associate Diploma of Jazz Studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1993. In 2012 he completed an Honours exegesis at Southern Cross University, Lismore: The harmonic explorations of Joe Henderson: A study by a professional jazz musician on his contribution to the modern jazz tenor saxophone sound. He has presented a paper, Jazzing: Intuition and Intellect, at the Australasian Jazz and Improvisation Research Network conference, Melbourne. Alfredo has also presented a paper, Jazz as process: A different perspective for the 21st century, at the Continental Drift: A Century of Jazz on Record conference, Edinburgh Napier University. Alfredo is at Queensland Conservatorium of Music, working on a Doctorate of Musical Arts exegesis: Jazz as process: Developing artistic practice as a composer, player and leader in a small ensemble

He has studied arranging with Graeme Lyall, composition and harmony with Roger Frampton and piano and counterpoint with Judy Bailey. Alfredo has also studied with jazz great: Joe Henderson, saxophonist: Wes Anderson from the Lincoln Centre Orchestra and New York piano player/educator, Dr Barry Harris. 

Alfredo has worked with Jeff Martin (guitarist/singer-songwriter for "The Tea Party"), Ben Gillies (musician/drummer for "Silverchair"), and acclaimed singer-songwriter, Gabriel Vargas; and recorded with sound engineers Paul Pilsneniks and Jordan Power, amongst others. He has also co-led music ensembles with some of Australia’s best jazz musicians including: George Golla, Judy Bailey, Craig Scott, Alan Turnball, Mark Isaacs, Paul Mac Namara, Bernie Mc Gann, John Morrison, Jeff Usher, Matt Mc Mahon, Sean Wayland, Jan Rutherford, Cathy Harley and Sharny Russell.
