We are very excited to announce this seductive debut on mastik netlabel by Dan Guidance!

The opening track "Upon reflection" starts off with subtle vocals blended by mellow pads and bright atmospherics held together by sharp and punchy percussion. Techy bass make this track feel like it is constantly moving forward.

"Feel Free" is like a summer breeze, unwinding the stress of the day and tickling with gentle jazzy vibes. In addition deep sub bass and filtered chords yields quite an oldschool sound.

META015 is  a beauty and the beast affair, fantastically executed in the great tradition of Metalheadz.
Kicking off with ‘Hungry For Atmosphere’ this stepper is a perfect set opener, heartfelt strings and keys give way to contorted mids and FXs, whilst the familiar vocal is processed into something altogether more sinister. The track clocks at just over 7 minutes and this says everything of the tracks ambitions, not pandering to anything but its own journey.
Next to step into the ring is ‘A Certain Flavour’ the opposite but yet perfectly paired track to go with the A side. Beginning with a very cinematic introduction it unravels into a growling bass led stepper with staccato drums before switching into a two-step drum work out, tailor made for dancefloors and DJs alike.

A release that we are very happy to kick 2014 off with, welcome to the new breed!

<i>Romanian producer C L N K gives us a taste of his dark take on techno with his latest single, “Zombie Mechanic.”

Everything about Silviu Badea aka C L N K screams cool. From the artwork to his track titles to the music itself, there’s no arguing, it just is. C L N K’s latest body of work, his forthcoming ANTI EP exudes dark through and through, whilst keeping listeners intrigued with an arsenal of sonic theatrics.

Lending to this techno take on a post-industrial sound, C L N K’s track, “Zombie Mechanic” is weighty and damaged, and yet possesses light at the end of the tunnel allure. Like dropping bits of mysterious liquid onto the icy floor of an igloo-turned warehouse rave, muted thumps and bumps in the night pair nicely with fluid synths and static flashes of light.

Then again, “Zombie Mechanic” might just be the theme song to a futuristic form of freeze-tag best played in outer space.</i>

These days house music is often about a 4/4 beat and a catchy groove. The idea is to do something simple to which you can get your groove and, and not so much about listening.
The borders of electronic dance music makes room for the hypnotic beats, the driving grooves, but not always the melodic universes.
Leman & Dieckmann have been making music for several years, both together and apart, but almost all of their music was driven mainly by the beat. But both having an urge to discover the dynamics of melodic synths and melodic percussion they decided to make an album.
They agreed that the album had to tell a story, and like so many times before in music the topic became love. The story they try to tell through the music  on the album “Takes Two” is the story of a breakup, the denial of the need of love, and the discover of the fact that often in life it takes two, to be happy.
The album features the Swedish/Danish jazz singer TYRA on the groovy house track “Movement” and the percussion based balearic inspired track “The Meeting”. Also the title track “Takes Two” is featured by the Danish singer Ms. O, who, on top af beautifull Rhodes chords and minimal drums, manages to tell the story of sincerely need and unrequited love. “The Stranger”, a track about the autodidactic act of a onenight stand as a part of moving on, is featured by the very talented Danish singer Julie Christiansen.
The album, which consist of 10 original tracks, ranges from the deepest atmospheric Deep House to groovy Tech House to old-school trancy house. “Takes Two” defenately differs from the masses, and bring a breath of fresh air to the circulating sound of 2014 .
