BODYXSONG [LoopDiggers Sunday Roulette N°138]

This song is called "36 Candles," and it was the second song that I started with this project. This song is driven by a Suzuki Q Chord that I purchased in the spring. As I was playing around with it, this is the first chord progression I played. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to write the whole song around it. This song also features number station audio which I got from the Conet Project, and the end of the song features a glockenspiel which I purchased right before the pandemic. 

This song is about my battles with depression and anxiety, and how there always seems to be some hope that things will get better one day. This will be a common theme in the whole album.... some day, everything will be alright.

36 Candles

In this track I wanted to take my music creation in a different direction, exploring different genres to make a little jazz-fusion-Lofi tune, and as I have done with my other songs, I wanted to add organic elements to spice it up.
I asked an amazing multi-instrumentalist musician friend to play the Sax for this song, one-take-Jake, he lifted the song in a very fantastic musical way.
