Terry Terell Brisco, better known by his stage name Sipp Ward, is an American rapper, songwriter, and CEO paving a new lane for Southern music. A spiritual, street-wise artist from Leland, Mississippi, Sipp Ward came up watching local Southern legends shake the game. Now residing in the DMV (Washington, DC | MD | VA), he’s elevating the culture with a fresh, authentic sound that represents the real South.

As a CEO, Artist, Songwriter, Producer, and Trill Hustler, Sipp Ward is carving out his place in the industry and helping mold the sound of modern Southern rap. Influences like DJ Screw, Master P, Juvenile, Project Pat, Baby, Lil Keke, UGK, Mr. Pookie, SUC, Lil Flip, Ced T, 3-6 Mafia, Playa Fly, Big Pokey, and many other Houston heavyweights helped inspire what became “Da New Down South Sound.”

Raised in the Black Dog neighborhood on Caraway & Jackson Street in Leland, Mississippi, Sipp Ward witnessed the real side of Southern life — the highs, the struggles, the crack era, and the traps the streets and the system set for young Black men. Music became his escape, his therapy, and eventually his calling.

Today, Sipp Ward is the CEO and headline artist of KP Records, pushing his vision independently and breaking through with his hit single “Feeling Da Breeze,”  The record continues to carry him globally as he builds his movement, expands his catalog, and represents the South with purpose and authenticity.

Descriptions are hard, and I won't write this one in the third person perspective.
I'm a solo singer/songwriter from Atlanta, GA.
During live performances I like to use my Akai Headrush E2 loop pedal, which allows room for lead guitar & percussion.

I wouldn't specify myself as a lead player first & foremost, but I really do enjoy getting a chance to push myself in that direction.
I've penned a few tunes, and I've got a handful of new material that I'm working on that I'd like to add to an upcoming EP.

I've been performing live for about 6 years now, and I've been fortunate enough to make it my full-time profession for the past two years.
I truly enjoy live performances in that, they allow you to break out of your comfort zone; and you have to bring something fresh to the table with each crowd.

I've included some live tracks, but the main emphasis of Rufus Radio is to provide the growth of the new studio tracks.

Rufus Radio is a play-on-words of an old stage name. During my time in Chattanooga, TN & traveling earlier-on; I had somehow taken on an alias "Rufus Ray".
Apparently it has a ring to it, occasionally I'll run into someone that still remembers when I went by it!
