The Rushmore State started as a solo project by JR Kaufman in Sioux Falls, SD.  Members have come and gone over the years.  The Rushmore State is currently based out of Austin, TX with Jimi Dharma playing bass and Ben Cunningham on the drums.

Jimi Dharma is an American rock project hailing from Austin, Texas, and Charlotte, North Carolina.  Expect riffs and tones encompassing grunge, blues & psychedelic rock. 

Currently available for gigs!!

This is an original band, but live, you might hear a some covers from bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and more.
