After a busy start to 2014 with 'Reckless Ardor' still riding high in the top 10 of the Beatport Deep House Chart and a massive remix of Calippo's 'Back There', EDX is back with his follow up 'Cool You Off' released through - on 7th April 2014. 

Exploring different genres within the electronic music landscape for 'Cool You Off', EDX creates an uplifting melody and funky drum beat with soft vocal samples, that's as infectious as it is cool. Skirting the line between deep house and progressive house, 'Cool You Off' looks set to rival the success of 'Reckless Ardour'. 

Over the past few years, EDX aka Maurizio Colella has made a name for himself in the international dance music scene, headlining the world’s finest clubs and festivals to crowds in excess of 60,000 – from Miami to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York,  all the way to Sydney. 

Starting 2014 at the top of the Beatport charts with his deep house single, 'Reckless Ardor', and his highly anticipated 'Miami Sunset' remix of Avicii’s 'Wake Me Up', EDX remains as a prominent, influential force in dance music releasing some of the most in demand tracks of the moment.

EDX - Cool You Off - OUT NOW!

At the heart of Bristol’s house resurgence over the last few years resides a DJ, producer, graphic designer and general vibesman, Christophe.  A regular face on the scene for many years, his releases and inspired DJ sets for the Futureboogie label has catapulted this Welshman into the limelight, clocking up gigs at Fabric, XOYO alongside Eats Everything, Garden Party, Lowlfe & more.  Add to this his recent success as part of the Sure Thing collective, (alongside DJ Die, Joker et al), and collaborations with Lukas, the future’s looking bright for our Chris…

His debut release for Hypercolour comes in the shape of ‘Gotta Release’, a big sounding production that perfectly encapsulates the Christophe ethos; classic house sounds with a strong melody, hands in the air pianos and a sweet vocal lick, and a production value that the Def Mix crew would be proud of.

Supporting the release, a couple of remixes from Hypercolour personnel.  James Welsh continues a run of superb music for labels like Wolf Music, Losing Suki and Join The Dots with a great rework, right deep, down and luscious.  A bending Juno bassline and sweet chords float over the deft drums, sparingly sprinkling the vocal to maximum effect, really nice work from Mr. Welsh here.  

Last Magpie comes with the second remix, flipping the Original on its head completely and opting for a heavy breaks laden remix, chopping the vox up and slapping you around the face with its gnarly 909 drums, twisted breaks and sub-bass booms…..

David Douglas is a Dutch electronica producer. He released his debut EP “Royal Horticultural Society” in 2012 and released his debut album ‘Moon Observations’ on 22 May. 

Right after the release of 'Moon Observations' on Atomnation, the Utrecht based producer brings a club edit of 'Je Ne Sais Pas', one of the standout tracks of his current live-set. Spanning over 6 minutes, this track is an uptempo blueprint of David's productions - consisting of strong Moog basses, Space Echo-ish dub snares and drums that always have a detailed touch. It's the stunning harmonies though that give David's music signature sound and the best part about it is that it we can provide the track FREE.

Transferring fluidly between its English and Russian lyrics and vocals, its exotic thrall is catalysed by the rush of sonic uplift of Moonbeam’s surrounding production. 

On his remix, Ukrainian producer Spartaque gives ‘Madness’ one of his classic tech-through-techno treatments. Developing a powerful drive through its punchy drums and painstakingly crafted FX, its angular synths deliver a convincing TKO. 

Moonbeam’s Original Mix buzzes with electro fission, providing an even more atmospheric vision for the track. Wrapping things up, German duo Boss Axis bring many shades of house to ‘Madness’. Warming the production to appropriately thermal summer-like temperatures, they provide an entirely unique take on the track.
