Into The Blue

I was given a video clip of the intro to a company (that shall remand unnamed) and asked to write a bit of music for it. They wanted something hip and light but sophisticated, yet without a strong style that would influence the viewer.
The first attempt is a copy of their example demo
The second attempt is my own riff, which I call "Glass and Bells"
The third attempt is "Light"
The last attempt is "Heavy."
We'll see if they pick one, and I'll let you know which!

Twilight Mystery is a solo piano piece part of a collection of solo piano pieces called Storyboards. 

Twilight Mystery tries to capture the feeling of stargazing. The song began as an exercise in pitch limitation, as the song is written entirely using six different notes. (Eb, F, G, A, Bb, and D) The opening and ending passages of the piece are written without meter and are to be taken slowly with great rubato. The "A" section of the song takes influence from studying composers such as Allen Forte, Milton Babbitt, and Arnold Schönberg on the topics of set theory, 12-tone composition, and pitch class sets, whereas the "B" section takes influence from the study of minimal and post-minimal composers such as Steve Reich, John Adams, and Phillip Glass.
