Charlie Lawler is a 70-year-old grandfather and recent retiree living in Minnesota, USA. He took up learning more about, and writing, poetry–mostly haiku–in January 2022. His last career work was in strategic planning and continuous improvement deployment in a public healthcare organization.

Made by recording samples of my voice at various pitches, looping them on 16 tracks, and bringing each track in and out using a MIDI controller.

While making this, I thought of Japanese Buddhist chanting, and an early morning Goma Taki ritual on Mount Kōya about a decade ago.
