Sandman Russ is a rising hip-hop artist from Decatur, Georgia, whose sound blends Southern roots with the sharp wordplay and storytelling he developed after years of rapping and moving to Michigan. Known for fusing pain rap, melodic trap, sampled beats, and gritty street realism, Russ built a style defined by honesty, duality, and lived experience.
After leaving Georgia to attend Michigan State University as a criminal justice major, he was introduced to the Michigan rap scene and found his voice in the fast-paced delivery, clever punchlines, and raw emotion that would soon shape his music.
