Oh, down in Salisbury city, what a sorry old affair,
The market square’s in trouble, but they don’t seem to care.
The toilets are all closing, folks are caught in dismay,
But hey, there's a new ice cream van, so everything's okay.

Ice cream’s lucrative, that's what they say,
While tourists search for restrooms and wander away.
City council's spending, but it ain't on what we need,
Now Salisbury’s charm is fading, and it makes our hearts bleed.

Cobblestones and cathedrals, such a beautiful place,
But without basic services, it’s a blooming disgrace.
Let’s get back to basics, put the people first,
Before this lovely city goes from bad to worse.
