Nekrolog1k Podcast #58 By Insidulate

After getting into not Drum & Bass and Breakcore etc in 2011 after first being introduced to raves here in Portsmouth, Insidulate started mixing in 2013. 

His sets usually consist of unique, well constructed tracklists with an emphasis on building tension... a battleground between dark gritty D&B and D&B influnced styles of hardcore and breakcore. 

Since 2014 Insidulate has been working on his own music, but after a while of struggling to find his sound or release any tracks, in the last couple of years he has spent a bit more time working on projects ready to release. 

With a debut EP well underway and another big proect to announce in the coming months, you can expect to hear some new music from him at some point later this year.

For blog entry #022 Slaine has dropped us an ALL Ghost Snares mix. 

Birmingham based label Ghost snares focusses on the deep and techy side of dnb with an emphasis on atmospherics and rolling basslines. 

Founded by Slaine , Elkie and J-dok, Ghost snares was originally intended to be a clubnight with a label offshoot, however due to covid etc the label has developed more rapidly. 

As the name implies, Ghost snares are champions of the classic dnb sound, but also keen to experiment with where the genre can go in the future. With releases lined up every month throughout 2021 from Slaine, Elkie, J-Dok, Krow and more.

Slaine is a Drum and Bass DJ and producer from Birmingham who’s production style combines sci-fi soundscapes with rolling DnB, keeping one foot on the dancefloor at all times.

Slaine releases music regularly through various labels including Ghost Snares, Symmetry recordings, Nurtured Beatz, Regression Media, Skutta Records, Rawganics, Rotation UK, Atmomatix Records (Belgium), as well as releasing Producer Sample pack for Loopmasters in collaboration with Dread Recordings for their 'Artist series’’

This mix is a 50 minute exclusive showcase of tracks forthcoming on the Ghost Snares imprint mixed by Slaine.
