Sol Selectas is pleased to welcome back Persian artist Namito with his second single titled “Wait Till The End feat. Tannaz”. After the amazing success of last year’s “Stone Flower”, which was the #1 song for 2019 in Beatport’s Electronica / Downtempo genre, Namito returns with another incredible interpretation of a Persian classic. The deep groovy bass line leads us into a euphoric breakdown, with Tannaz singing the lyrics “Every road on the Universe reaches through my heart”. Uplifting arpeggios come in, eyes close, and we are transported to another dimension of peace. Namito also gives us a stripped back “Dub mix” without vocals, for those late night after hours sessions. 

Sol Selectas does not believe in borders and cultural separation. We are excited to have Israeli artist Chaim remixing this Persian song, creating unity and love through music. Chaim’s production work of late has been taking the dance music industry by storm. With his signature dark disco aesthetic, and gritty analog bass lines, Chaim transforms the song into a peak time dance floor shaker, while maintaining the deep sensibility of the original. 

The artwork by Helia Jamali pays homage to classic Persian architecture, and visualizes all the dimensional planes of the multiverse, leading into our hearts.

'The goal of the Four Points series is to celebrate the international dance music scene, and this time is no different. With two acts from America and two from Germany, this new edition of the compilation bridges the Atlantic divide with four excellent new tracks and two Yoshitoshi debuts. Although clubs are closed, virtual parties and live streams have taken over the industry and new music is as important as ever, and we know these new tunes will find a happy home in your set, even if you’re playing from home.

Los Angeles native Rinzen starts things off with exactly the type of intricate melodic techno the producer is known for; big, pounding drums and fluttering synth riffs that intertwine throughout the arrangement create an intense sonic journey. Next up we have Rachel Raw and BOHO, the dynamic duo from Cologne, who made their massive debut on Yoshitoshi a few months ago with the Happening EP. “McQueen” is a dark and hypnotic roller that we could just love to hear in the club right about now. Berliner MUUI make his Yoshitoshi debut with “Panoptic Phase,” showcasing his brand of cerebral house music with swirling, arpeggiated synths and spacious pads. This one is perfect for the late hours of the night. Finally, Bostonians Warung round things out with “Memora,” an excellent addition to the package that shows why the young duo has already caught the ear of tastemakers like John Digweed and Waze & Odyssey. It’s deep and melodic house at its finest.'

The latest in a long line of breath-taking emotion-laden hitters (think 'Hi', 'Mantra' and 'Gira' in the last year alone) the unstoppable Monkey Safari roll out an eight minute moment of calm in an otherwise chaotic, uncertain world. Onedotsixtwo continues to showcase the finest rising global talent in 2020 by welcoming those Argentine masters of groove and emotion, Oliver & Tom back to the label for their debut ‘Penny’ EP release, having previously been introduced to the onedotsixtwo audience via their contribution to Gustin’s excellent ‘Synchronicity’ (ODST0019) mix comp. Another super-talented Argentine DJ/Producer, Nico Szabo, provides an excellent remix of ‘Penny’ to complete this outstanding package.

The title track is a pulsating beauty, its futuristic melodic mastery conjuring up images of an electronic past signposted by the likes of Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk, which Oliver & Tom then uniquely re-imagine for the future in a proper progressive musical framework. The duo’s skilled musicianship sets them apart from the crowd, a symbiosis that originated in their childhood, having grown up together playing guitar and drums, followed by studying piano and synthesizer. 

Their highly impressive musical and studio skills first caught the attention of Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden in 2017 and their career trajectory has continued upwards ever since. Already busy through 2020, their releases have previously appeared on Tarnished Tracks, Balkan Connection, Vested Recordings and Massive Harmony. But, never ones to rest on their creative laurels, it is ‘Penny’ along with the perfectly complimentary, heavenly melodic wonderment of ‘Till Sunrise’ that are perhaps their finest works yet. 

Nico Szabo is another prodigious young talent emanating from Buenos Aires whose ever-growing array of remixes, on the likes of Clinique, 3rd Avenue and Balkan Connection, have been turning heads already throughout the first half of 2020. Another talented musician, having studied guitar and electric bass from the age of 12, Nico’s studio skills are now focused on producing the finest proper progressive house music. Here he takes ‘Penny’ on a deeper journey, sprinkling his arrangement with beautiful melodies and locking everything down to perfection with a super-tight groove.

Renowned Spanish artist Dosem (real name Marc Ramirez) releases his new album ‘Dream Decoder’ today on Anjunadeep. A considered mix of ambient atmospheres and melodic techno, ‘Dream Decoder’ was preceded by album singles ‘Tower’, ‘Megacities’ and ‘Eternal Summer’. 

With DJ support from the the likes of Tale Of Us, Hot Since 82, Maceo Plex, Camelphat, Gorgon City and Solomun and tastemaker stations like BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and KCRW, Dosem’s newest LP is set to solidify his reputation as one of Spain’s premier dance producers. 

With releases on Anjunadeep, Toolroom, John Digweed’s Bedrock, and his own imprint Houstrike, Dosem is a global player. He’s headlined Boiler Room in Catalonia and recently performed at Sonar, Ultra Miami, FNGRS CRSSD, Tomorrowland, Printworks London, and ADE, to name a few.

‘Dream Decoder’ features 15 new tracks of atmospheric, driving house and techno. Delicate textures and progressions rooted in modular synthesis are showcased throughout the album; ‘Soul Window’ and ‘So Close So Far’ are reminiscent of seminal artists such as Vangelis and Georgio Moroder, whilst ‘Megacities’ and ‘Dream Decoder’ up the ante with the raw, unrelenting energy that fans of Dosem know and love.

Composed during long stays in Tokyo, ‘Dream Decoder’ explores the theory “that links dreams to parallel universes and alternative lives”. Dosem expands on how this theory and the bustling metropolis heavily inspired the album’s forward-facing and diverse sound:

"I have always found the world of dreams a fascinating subject. Not only have they had a strong impact in my life, but they have also served as a powerful creative tool in my career. During these most recent years, I dedicated myself to keeping a small journal to remember them and to use it as inspiration for my music. At first, they seemed like abstract stories with no connection between them, but little by little, I began to find a code that linked everything…”

“In recent years, I became interested in the practice of lucid dreaming. This technique took on particular relevance during my various stays in Tokyo - a place that has always transmitted to me that beautiful metaphor between dreams and reality. I came up with the idea of making an audiovisual tribute to this wonderful city. So I started taking photos of its streets and its architecture, which at some point, served also as a gateway for those dream experiences. In this way, each song represents a dream, an album made of stories between this world and other worlds. A journey that tries to decode the dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious through music."

Dosem’s fourth studio album ‘Dream Decoder’ is out now via Anjunadeep. A limited edition of ‘Dream Decoder’ LPs is available, consisting of five club mixes selected by Dosem.
