The Freestylers need no introduction and neither does their all time classic 'Ruffneck'. This Anthem has been re-recorded and hurtled into the future by notorious electronic punks Ctrl Z and has been one of the biggest tunes in the sets of the likes of Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, Freq Nasty, Deekline and of course the 'Stylers for the past year! It was natural that the Stylers would turn to the Z to put their take on what is considered by many as the best Freestylers track ever! Blending the old with the new, Ctrl Z have managed to keep the ‘rough around the edges’ vibe of the Freestylers original, while stamping their monstrous bassline and synth sounds all over it.

There aren’t many acts working in electronic music who can say they’ve had their music played by both trance demi-god Paul Van Dyke and drum & bass don Andy C in the space of a month. But Cutline can. ‘Die For You’ sees the duo in electro-house mood, complete with flowing piano chords, bleeping synths, heavily processed vocals and, of course, a drop that’s filthier than a 5am-kebab. It’s just another example of Cutline’s ability to turn their hand to almost any genre and absolutely smash it. Backed by remixes from dubstep and D&B masters J Majik & Wickaman, Mindflow, Shock One, and Demus this latest release from Never Say Die is an impressively broad demonstration of the sounds and trends that are currently ripping club land apart.

My Favorite Robot serves up another unique and uncompromising release from Pink Skull, this time in the form of an exclusive vinyl release, months ahead of its digital companion. Energetic analogue forms that are simultaneously playful and moody define the sound of their latest full length Huitlacoche.

Huitlacoche, the group's fourth release, sees its first full length foray with a new pared down line up of Julian Grefe, Justin Geller, and Joe Lentini. Days on end spent tethered to their synths have yielded a purely electronic record; in a way, a return to their roots and a serious step forward.  

This line-up has recently made waves with their EPs for MFRR, Throne of Blood, and Days of Being Wild, with each garnering attention across the globe.

The title track kicks off with a serious raw groover, whose ticking, machine made percussion lays down a strong foundation for the dance floor whilst the synth frippery completely takes one's mind away to another place.

'Trans Gender Express' continues in the same vein with molten acid lines set off by gentle, ambient synthscapes. 'Perfect Suites' is a deeper, more elastic affair offering up sublime and surreal synth work that conjures up images of otherworldly perfection.

‘Mutant Comfort' is a trippy melodic free-fall and 'Burmese Engines' is a beatless trip through inner space. All of the releases conjure up the ghosts of synth pioneers past, from warm ambient to proto industrial - all the while keeping their attention focused on the future… and it's all hugely captivating.

Pink Skull returns with the first release from their forthcoming Psychic Welfare LP on RVNG Intl. "Bee Nose (Put Yr Face On)" is a loosey-goosey, late-night drunk dial from Glasgow (ca. 1998) that stumbles along a familiar vapor trail to a warm & waiting bed.  Blue Oyster Cult meets Boards of Canada. Brassica twists this track into a spacey Atlantean mix complete with stuttering breaks and a Carribean shuffle, while Riley Ace of Spies drones away like a Pete Kember worker bee.

Julian Grefe and Justin Geller have been working together for the best part of a decade now releasing a string of singles and albums that have gained the Pink Skull name a hallowed respect. The duo’s shared love of early disco and primitive electronic music has been instrumental in forging their sound and ensured that their take on things is always far from predictable. Now Grefe & Geller have joined forces with Joe Lentini (Schematic, L.I.E.S.) for their latest offering to be released by the everexcellent, Toronto based My Favorite Robot Records, the label that has stormed its way through 2012 with music from the likes of Jori Hulkkonen. Fairmont, Sasse, Tom Demac & Tiger Stripes.
The ‘Definitive Gauze EP’ opens with stunning ‘Germ Free Iridscent’, an off kilter slice of electronic music that taps into elements of techno, ambient, drum & bass and electro whilst never quite being any of the above. Swirling FX and an ever-shifting arrangement give the track an otherworldly feel and help make a record that has a truly unique feel. Second of the five sees Pink Skull shift into acidic techno mood for the rolling rhythms of ‘Laotion Size’, a track which morphs between a heads down warehouse groove and its quirky electro interludes. ‘Primitive, Jelly Covered’ comes next with its discordant ethereal synth lines and tape-delayed stabs sitting over a deep insistent backing track,
quality stuff. Penultimate title track ‘Definitive Gauze’ offers up a squelchy slice of techno with some deep, Detroit influences and finally the excellent ‘Taupe Heroics’ journey into blissful ambient territory with a retro inspired soundscape that conjures up the best of Tangerine Dream, sublime.

Zum Einschlafen Carl Craig, The KLF oder Stereo MCs.

Mit elf Tänzer im ersten Video von International Pony. Mit fünfzehn die zweite Gitarre und auf der Fusion hat es Zoom gemacht.

Heute produziert Bacalao in seinem Homestudio Diskoschnupfen eigene Tracks und feiert mit seinem Kollegen Einfach Jazz als Spacehoppers erste Erfolge als DJ. Seit September 2010 tourt er mit der Partyreihe Feierabend durch die Berliner Clubszene.
