Renowned Italian musician Alessio Natalizia, AKA Not Waving, reaches new heights with his latest album, "The Place I've Been Missing." This deeply personal and introspective collection of songs delves into themes of grief, the fragility of existence, and the profound process of learning to bid farewell. 

"The Place I've Been Missing" is a poignant journey, written and recorded by Natalizia, with captivating guest appearances from long time collaborator and friend Marie Davidson alongside Ecstatic label mates Spivak, more eaze, and Romance. 

Unrestrained by conventional notions, Not Waving's sound defies easy categorisation. From enigmatic electronic soundscapes to dissonant symphonies, from syncopated beats to soothing melodic interludes, these 10 fragmented compositions are a testament to Natalizia's creative fearlessness. 

Over the span of 10 years, Not Waving's music has undergone a restless evolution, defying easy categorization. The soundscapes within "The Place I've Been Missing" traverse genres, featuring elements of crepuscular synth-pop, slowed-down strings, baroque guitars, shot through with layers of harmonic noise and hazy ambiance.

Dylan Henner (AD 93, Phantom Limb) returns to Dauw with 'performs Raymond Scott’s Soothing Sounds for Baby’, a new album where he reinterprets a selection of Raymond Scott’s iconic work originally released in 1962. The album will be released on May 31 and available on limited edition vinyl and digital. Artwork is provided by Skrew Studio in reference to the original releases.

The contributions of Raymond Scott to our world are immeasurable and pioneering, and his records still sound totally unique. But one could say that, viewed through the lens of what we now understand to be "ambient" music, the meaning of his compositions have changed since their inception. Now, we (mistakenly or not) see them as archival or documentarian pieces preserving an era of early electronic music and the capabilities and limitations of the technology of its time. It has become an artefact, a means to an end. So, with huge reverence to Scott's foresight and genius, Dylan Henner wanted to recontextualise those same ideas into the mindset and studio of a musician in 2024, to create a version of what Scott left us that corresponds with Henner's own perception of this music's purpose: soothing baby. He returned to the original records only once or twice, transcribing melodies and taking notes on timbre, before setting off his own journey.

Florescere&nbsp;by Jonathan Bousquet is a powerful debut exploring a tapestry of electronic textures, compositional structures, and themes. Bousquet demonstrates a unique ability to forge a cohesive sonic world, employing a diverse array of techniques and sound sources.&nbsp;Florescere&nbsp;is a thoughtfully crafted album revealing itself slowly through rich harmonies and memorable melodies, rewarding repeated listening.

From the opening chimes of Recurrence, the album invites listeners into a multi-layered musical narrative, exploring the dualities of movement and stillness. The second track, How to Make an Exit, investigates form through themes of resolution, entrances, and exits. As the album progresses, Divisible Machine examines how time is measured and how personal perception can alter these measurements, expanding or contracting them.

Listeners are then drawn into Enveloper, a soundscape that evokes a sense of omnipresent time and presence through overtones and an electronic choir. The title track, Florescere, marks a new beginning beyond the constraints of place and time, characterized by jubilant sequences and a resolute low end. The A-side concludes with And the Void Becomes Eloquent, a cyclical composition where repetitions gradually move toward their undoing. The work concludes with a profound sense of rest and ethereal pause on the B-side track, Being, Becoming.

Available on black vinyl, white vinyl, and cassette tape, Florescere features six tracks on side A that blend intricate rhythms and lush textures. Side B presents a 30-minute drone piece, offering a contemplative journey through ambient soundscapes.
