They made it home.

“Welcome back!” said the ghost,

The couple took the deepest breaths they could muster at their age 

with a CRACK of the lock, the door slammed shut, locking the pandemonium outside away

For good.

Shedding winter coats almost stained black with melted snow, they thought it best to enjoy a snack by the fire

“Sweets are good!” blurted the ghost,

The pair went to the pantry to find something to eat
