I wrote the songs on this EP as a way to have a creative and emotional outlet during 2020. It gave me something to connect over during a time of isolation and darkness. Collectively, it was material on which I could apply what I was learning about home audio recording.

This song contains the first bass and keyboard lines I've ever created. I hadn't actually played the bass guitar until I wrote this song. I planned to when I released my EP, Dreadnought, Baby, Blossom but I felt it was fine to release those songs as they were. It was fun writing solid lead guitar parts for this too, as I had only considered myself a rhythm guitar player before and only included lead guitar during a few parts of my song Sunshine. This piece inspired me to pursue sound design and electronic music concepts I had not been interested in before. It made me curious about synthesizers and new ways to produce my vocals.
