Producer turned rapper, Kenny Grey also known by his stage name, Backpack Wonka, is a hip hop artist from Silver Spring, MD. Combining golden era, crate digging and trap music influences to create an against the grain-melodic sound. Wonka started out as a beatmaker at age 16, citing Kanye West and Just Blaze as his motivation to get behind the boards. He just released his debut Mixtape, "Welcome to Wonka's World", available on Spinrilla and Reverbnation, and since been working on his 3rd project, "Wonka's World V3".

Upon graduating from Towson University with a Duel Degree in Economics and Political Science, Wonka relocated to Baltimore, Maryland gaining traction in the local music scene. "I'm trying to show young kids with a dream and even rappers like myself that its okay to have a back up plan. I will always be an artist, but I'm also smart enough to have an insurance policy." Much like his idol, Kanye West, Wonka keeps his college experience close evident in many of his verses. Also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. college was a major part of his music and life development.
