Fall On My Feet

This is a song that I wrote while I was a worship leader in Mequon, WI.  This was a worship song that the nondenominational church sang on a regular basis during their services.  This is a rough home recording made about 20 years ago.  (7 second delay at the beginning of the recording!)

A sad song about the never ending struggle of work/life balance.
The rhythm guitar was an EBMM Reflex with game changer and a Peavey Penta amp.
The clean guitars were a Hamer Vintage S through Strymon DIG delay.
The ambient guitar at the beginning of the ending section is a Hamer Chapparal through a Strymon Time Line.
The lead guitar in the last section is a PRS 305 through a Stomp under Foot '73 Ram's Head V10, into a Hiwatt DR103 amp.
The E Bow guitars were a Hamer Studio.
The guitar used in the solo in the middle and the transition section after that is an EBMM JP16.
The bass guitar was a Hamer Cruise Bass 5 string.
Synths used included Arturia Solinatron V, Steinberg Retrologue, IK Multimedia Syntronik playing a Taurus bass synth preset, Arturia Mellotron V, Korg M1, Waldorf PPG 2.V.

Thanks to long time friend John Roberts for letting me noodle on his DX7 back in 1987. That is where I came up with the ending part of this song, on that then-impressive pipe organ preset. All these years I thought "That would make a great ending for a song" but could never figure out what to put it after.

The guitars, bass and vocals were all recorded January - April 2022. Drum programming happened in March 2022.

Cardington

A page that started out back around 2010 with Rob posting blues, rock, country and pop tunes recorded with fellow musicians and singers, and a few on which Rob does all vocals, guitars and bass, and EZ Drummer plays drums.
Since 2019, Rob  has been devoting all his musical energies to writing and recording progressive rock. Fewer songs but more elaborate compositions and fancier playing.
