Stemming from the foothills of the Appalachians, two childhood friends Mikey Vargo (producer/guitarist), and Junior Ferrese (drum kit) began playing in bands in early middle school. In the wake of their previous project (The Juniper Spacestation), Escape Pod was formed in late 2012 on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. The two friends experienced new live shows and quickly embraced influences all across the musical spectrum. Escape Pod fuses their own interpretation of dance music with live instruments to provide a unique musical performance. Elements of improvisation mix with bass-heavy electronic arrangements to keep every show spontaneous, yet powerful. Currently based in San Diego, CA while continuing to expand the boundaries of musical categorization.

I play with groups such as Jaywalker, Lone Wolf Club, and Madeline Rae, as well as my own music, Red Redding.  I work at Red Caiman Studios in Pittsburgh, PA.  The songs you find here, I've either written, recorded, played on, or produced.
