Vol 10 in our long-running mix series, with interview snippets and remixes that tell the continuing saga of our musical obsession. Edited and remixed by @roxanneroll with an exclusive from @twinsunmusic (Castaway) and a banger of an edit of the Little Lies Jellybean extended mix by @grooveterminator. While always a celebration, it felt especially important in this mix to pay homage to Christine McVie after her passing. After more than 12 years of this project, people often ask us if we are tired of Fleetwood Mac? Hell no. The well of inspiration runs dark and deep, and we have miles to go before we sleep.

DJ Saint Pierre began his musical journey at the age of 12 with piano lessons. His appetite for creation quickly emerged after acquiring a drum machine and a sampler, which allowed him to experiment with electronic composition.
By the age of 15, he had plunged into the world of vinyl mixing, collecting electronic records—particularly techno—and gradually carving out a place for himself in the emerging techno scene.
At 18, he made the decision to pursue his dream full-time, performing DJ sets and shaping his own musical identity. Over the years, DJ Saint Pierre refined his craft, evolving towards increasingly textured and daring techno, exploring more experimental sounds and aesthetics.
At 28, his career took a decisive turn thanks to his friend Ricardo Garduno, who opened the doors to Illegal Alien Records—a label that has since become his creative home, where he enjoys full support and freedom of expression.
Since 2017, he has also developed Anmon, a side project with French artist Ténèbre, focused on alternative electronic music and signed to the label Yuku. This abstract sonic laboratory explores the boundaries between drum, techno, ambient, and experimental music, providing fertile ground for rhythmic and textural exploration.
DJ Saint Pierre does not follow trends; instead, he allows his emotions to guide him, always pushing the limits of his creativity.

Which artists has influenced you the most?
- Without hesitation, I’d say Amon Tobin and Pink Floyd. There are many other artists who have influenced me over time, but these two had a truly defining impact on me.
 
What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?
- My upcoming releases are focused on my side project “Amon”, a duo with my friend Ténèbre, which will be out on the label Intervision. After that, I have two solo releases planned — one on Illegal Alien Records (my heart label, run by Ricardo Garduno), and another on Abstract Mechanism under my alias DJ Saint Pierre.
 
Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?
- This is a tough question because it’s so broad. First, I’d say Ricardo’s work with Illegal Alien embodies a real commitment to our music scene — and that deserves both respect and recognition, musically as well. Then there’s Jeff from Yuku Records, whose curation and artistic direction are just on another level. Lastly, I’d mention labels like Samurai Horo and Void + 1, who are doing an incredible job developing their sonic identity.
 
What inspires you now to create music?
- I usually create music based on emotions, so it really depends on my mood. I don’t have one specific source of inspiration. That said, I’m quite sensitive to nature and how human activity affects it — but I wouldn’t say it’s my main inspiration either. It’s more subtle.

 What set-up do you use when creating music?
- My setup is pretty straightforward. I generate nearly all my sound with hardware — mainly Elektron’s Octatrack and Analog Rytm, and the SOMA Pulsar-23. I record and mix everything in Ableton Live. Sometimes I’ll use Reaktor for synthesis experiments. Overall, I’m still very attached to analog machines, because when I started producing at around 12 or 13 years old, that’s what I first connected with.
