Vitaliy Dubree’s new album Ratio et Caritas finds the Chernogolovka-based producer stepping outside his familiar dub techno framework into a more exploratory electronic space. Known for his releases on Leipzig’s Insectorama, Dubree shifts focus here toward intelligent electronica with clear traces of Berlin School sequencing and electro-inspired rhythm design. The record explores the balance between structure and emotion, through precise sound design, pulsing low-end movement, and melodic phrasing that gradually builds narrative tension.

While still grounded in the spacious atmospheres and delay drenched textures of dub, Ratio et Caritas feels more introspective and narrative driven than Dubree’s earlier output. Each track carries subtle references to Soviet era sci-fi films, weaving archival fragments into the mix to create a sense of cultural memory and modest futurism. The result is an album that bridges studio precision with emotional resonance, less a functional dance record, more a focused study in texture, pacing, and the intersection of human and cosmic scale.

Korean label Carousel unveils 'bright like a diamond', a heavy cut from DJ GÄP’s forthcoming Bloom EP. Rooted in the artist’s newly-introduced 'Fujara Club' sound - a fusion of Slovak folk timbres and forward-thinking club experimentation - the track also references Brazilian baile funk, capturing the balance between folklore, modernity and global club influences that define the sonic direction of DJ GÄP. The full EP will also feature remixes from the impressive set of artists: NETGALA, Yetsuby, Nick León and Keiska.
